XBOX 360 warranty...which is best?

i'm going to get a 360 this week from best buy and i was wodnering if i should get their warrenty or the one microsoft offers.

supposedly, the best buy one is $50 and lasts 2 years. they replace your system with a brand new one.

not sure how the other works, but i know you have to send it in, which sucks.

any advice on a 360 warranty? what warranty do you guys have?

I have K-mart it cost me like 20 bucks more for a 1 year extended warranty. Best buy usually have one of the best warranty's out there! I would get it if I could

Best Buy's Replacement Plan kicks ass. I get it on all the electronic equipment I buy from them.

I have never gotten an extended warranty/replacement plan for any of the 10-12 systems I've bought over the years and have yet to have any problems, with the obvious exception of the original Nintendo. After my N64 and Playstation were able to survive 3 years in a Fraternity house I've never even given thought to getting a replacement plan.

Consider yourself lucky then, because I had problems with the PS1 and PS2. My 360 has had zero probelms so far.

I had a PS2 with absolutely no problems.
Frankly, the only reason I won't get a PS3 is 'cause of it's cost and Sony's attitude.

I'd advise you to use the Best Buy Warranty, it is alot cheaper then the one we gave when I was working with Xbox these past few months to get a new one right there and then. With ours you'd pay the shipping and need to get your own box, REMEMBER NO ACCESSORIES OR THE REPAIR CENTER SENDS THE CONSOLE BACK UNFIXED!!!! ONLY THE SYTEM, NO HD's, CONTROLLERS, ET CETERA. With Best Buy, just take it back and away you go.
