So I'm an on-line gaming virgin. But I think I'm going to give it a try. I can't afford a 360 at the moment, but I am thinking about putting some of my regular xbox games to the on-line test. Halo 1,2, Starwars Battlefront 1 and 2, and so on.

But is it worth it? Do people still play xbox live games for the older xbox games? Also, are their hidden costs? I know the 12 month on-line membership is $50, but do some games have addition fees or anything like that? And do all games have headset capabilities? Probably the games I'll be playing most are Battlefront 1 and 2. So if anyone else plays those on-line or has please let me know if it would be worth $50 to play on-line for a year.

Thanks

Well Halo 1 isn't online capable but Halo 2 is, and is still played just as much now as it was when it first released. I cant really answer your questions about Star Wars : Battlefront as iv never played those games online.

I deff feel the 50 a yr is WELL worth it. The Xbox has a terrific online community. There are no hidden fees whatsoever. Also, just about all games have headset capabilities. I say go for it man, if you are looking to get more out of your games, LIVE is deff where its at, oh and when you get a 360, you can just transport your Xbox account over to your Xbox 360 so no worries there.

Thanks man. Yeah, I think I'll have to get it then. I just wanted to make sure that you didn't have to pay for on-line use for individual games or anything like that.

And I have heard that xbox live is better than playing on-line with the PS2 or PS3. And I believe I have seen on the backs of different game packages that the xbox generally allows more players on a game than the PS2. So I'll check it out. Thanks for answering my questions.
