Ah, so I just read that D4 is made by the same guy who did Deadly Premonition. Interesting. Never got around to playing that.
Solo play has traditionally been the meat of video games.
If a game with a critically acclaimed campaign mode and a multiplayer mode is worth 60 dollars, then why would a game that only has the latter be worth the same amount?
Is there anyone here who seriously believes that Titanfall is worth as much as let's say Halo 4?
When you get your next Halo or Gears game will you care whether there's a campaign or not when all that matters is beating the other team? And I know you liked Gears 3's multiplayer a lot! I'd be seriously disappointed.
I see. Value is different for everyone I guess. Depending on the quality I can get as much from each part of a game, campaign, co-op modes and multiplayer. If the next Gears by Black Tusk gives me a 2016 leading game equivalent level of a Gears 1 campaign, Gears 2 Horde Mode and Gears 3 multiplayer, I'll be paying equally for all 3. I'd probably get as much enjoyment from each on their own as I would from other complete games.Gears yes, Halo no. I don't much care for Halo's MP, so I only get Halo for its story. Gears is the opposite. I think the story is fine and all, but I only go through it to go through it, the MP is where i'll get 98% of my enjoyment and if the next Gears decided to drop the story, id be more than ok with that, just give me the same bad ass MP from Gears 3 and ill throw my wallet at ya. I don't buy into this bulls**t that a game has to meet X criteria to be worthy of its cost. It depends on what I get out of the game.
So I watched an hours worth of Sunset Overdrive on Xbox Twitch Channel and.. Now I once again find myself feeling "meh." I knew what the game was about and I knew they didn't want you on the ground much.. But man. You set foot on the ground and you're dead within 15 seconds. Rolling around on power lines and whatnot gives me more of a "on rails shooter" vibe than Jet Set Radio..
Not sure if I'm picking it up now..
Yup.. Constant zipping around. Honestly it looks fun until enemies come on screen.. Then it looks annoying and tedious.
