Xbox One Games: The Real Meat Around The Bone

If there's truth to the fact that Sony is actually helping with development, very good chance. No company, especially a big corporate company like Sony, will funnel money into a project without some type of guarantee that it'll remain exclusive to their hardware.

Having said that, I find the fact that it's also hitting the PC an interesting one to consider. Sony has often opted to keep their exclusives really exclusive, unlike MS who has never seemed to have an quams with their titles hitting the PC. It could've been a compromise between Sony and Capcom, but who knows.

Plus, the nature of Street Fighter means that it'll most likely see several re-releases (SFIV had three all together). I find the odds that Sony has put that much money into keeping the franchise unlikely.

I just want one of the rereleases, one version of SFV will be fine.

Does SF sell much on pc? I know SFIV looked amazing with 1080p on pc.

Oh, as in not PS4 as well?
That's what I'm thinking, unless this turns into an ME case where if rotr comes out on Ps4 it obviously is going to need a different publisher.
Oh I see.

Fans lose again obviously. What are the chances SFV stays a permanent exclusive?
Either capcom or sony said Ps4 is the only console SF5 is gonna appear on. But we cannot believe every single thing any corporate says. When the PC gamer found a code alluding a possible Ps3 version of Me2 (at the time it was a console 360 exclusive), bioware or EA said it meant nothing and that a Ps3 port was not planned. A year later, we found out they lied.

Are both SFV & RoTR next gen only releases? If so shame as they'll likely both be top games. I prefer SFIV to the 1st TR (although young Lara is already one of my most liked heroines, and leading characters in general) but I think RotR will see a huge improvement.

Everyone should really get a chance to enjoy both on their home machine. Can't wait for the next set of 3rd party games to be lost to this unproductive exclusive war.

rotr is coming out on 360, so it is still a cross gen title.

and bro, I'm willing to bet that one of the reasons the Ps2 was king was because it had so many 3rd party exclusives, and timed exclusives.

That was one of the reasons. But as of now if 2 guys are playing at the 3rd party exclusive war fans of both consoles lose out. They've already both missed out on a (different) top game plus whatever funds were poured into securing those deals could have gone into improving the 1st party lineup (which adds to gaming as a whole). I wish they would just compete on world beating 1st party titles than this crap.

Part of me wonders if SE lost "faith" in the title since they feel it originally under performed in last gen consoles and MS stepped in and said "no, it was awesome and we want the next one."

I know SE bragged about how well the next gen ports did but they originally wrote the dang thing off as a failure.

That being said if Rise hits PS4... It will be WAY longer than a year down the road. Look how long it took ME to hit PS3. I see this staying exclusive for the foreseeable future.

And at the end of the day.. Good. Everyone always talks about how these consoles need exclusives.. Well, there's one more or MS.

xbone has plenty of exclusives... it is a dumb thing to say that they don't. it's almost like back in the day when everyone said the Ps3 has no games. in this quarter alone, xbone had sunset overdrive, forza horizon 2, the halo collection, and project spark. all Ps4 had was lbp3 and driveclub, which both critically flopped.

Who wouldn't trade SFV for RoTR though, & vice versa. Other people not being able to play Tomb Raider doesn't make me not being able to play SFV on X1 any better (even though I'll get it for pc).

Like TB said tho, SFV is going to come to X11 before ROTTR comes to PS4. No way Sony paid to lock up every version of SFV... No way in hell. SFVTurbo Extreme will be on X1 six months to a year after SFV hits.

4, If ya count the most recent:

Street Fighter IV
Super Street Fighter IV
Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition
Ultra Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition(ok i know thats not the real name, but thats fun to say)

Edit, I see what you were saying, 3 after the orig release.

Street Fighter would basically be a party game purchase for me at this point. Something I'd have out when I have people over but not something I'd play a lot by myself.

I was wondering when I would see the first, "Well I didn't want Street Fighter anyway!" post.

Haha. Yea SF is still king of fighters although I do prefer MK at this point. Iv always preferred those characters and I was much better at MK than I was SFIV. But there isn't a better fighter out, from a technical standpoint than the SF series.

And I was wondering how long it would take someone to search the boards looking for someone to say they don't care about SF just to make a "I was wondering when.." post. Well ya got one! I never cared for super technical fighters.. I have things to do outside my bedroom.

And like I said for those who do care.. they'll get it with another edition.

I just hope the PS4 updates the dpad before the games release. That dpad sucks something fierce, particularly in the sweeping motions. I had such a difficult time using it with Inustice.

Haven't heard that complaint before. But I noticed that it's not as comfortable to use as the ds3. I doubt Sonys gonna change it though. A year into the analog stick tearing and input lags and they didn't even address those.

Did they?

I'm going to try and veer away from hardware talk here.

I'm enjoying Dead Rising 3. I skipped DR2, and I'm glad to see that the time limit, and the really bizarre save system, from the first game is gone. It's a ton of fun, and I'm usually not into the open world-ish stuff. I just got this thing with a dragon head and claws, and it's ridiculous.

Yeah good to steer this thread away from Hardware talk, that doesn't need to happen in here. For once we need to keep an Xbox thread on Xbox game topics.

DR3 is fantastic, so much better than the other games in the series. Pretty much every complaint I had about the game was done away with.

Iv never been a fan of DR, but I did think the demo for this was pretty fun. Just not sure it's something I want to spend money on.

I was never a huge fan.. But enjoyed the heck out of it. I'd say wait for it to hit 20.

I generally don't enjoy games that are open, I prefer more linear titles, but I don't know, DR is just so fun to mess around with.
