I really want to get my hands on a PS4 controller.
Is it me PS4 controller looks bulkier than PS3 one? I suppose you really can't tell until you have it on your hands.
It is a thicker, more solid controller than the PS3 one. Which by all accounts make it a lot better. The PS3 DS feels hollow and flimsy.
I like feeling the weight of the controller in my hands, so to me, the PS3 controller felt too light, especially in comparison to The PS1 and and PS2 controllers.
Yeah that's one of the complaints I had with the PS3 DS I really want to test it at games con or something before I have the console at my home.
How is being a light controller a bad thing? Less strain on your hands.
I don't think anyone has ever complained about the weight-strain of the 360 controller. The PS3 one feels way too light to me. Feels cheap.
The SIXAXIS did, but I never felt that way about the DS3. That was an improvement
I disagree. But that's life.
I don't think sony has to respond to the "180" they're still ahead in this one thus far. if they could Maybe drop a release date that would be nice.
I have a dual shock knockoff by frisby for my pc that's super light and feels cheap as hell, like it's going to snap in half at any moment. I do appreciate the heft the 360 controller has even if I like the DS layout more.
It's been so long since I held an actual DS I can't even remember what they feel like.
Kinda crazy how Microsoft is just going back on their plans. I guess it's the smart move, but it looks pretty pathetic from where I'm sitting... At least they're not being stubborn in the face of obvious failure, haha
I don't think its pathetic at all. They tried something it was not great so they decided to scrap it. Nothing wrong with that
exactly. if people could just stop bashing Microsoft now. yes they tried to rid us of the used games and their always online was marketed very poor. but this is the 8th generation of gaming. things are going to Change to a digital format eventually whether we like it or lot. I applaud Microsoft for trying to that for trying to atleast to take a step even if they trip over their themselves. Ps4 by no means is the Se one coming or the savior they too also have so e the gs to answer for . I think this gen is getting off to a rocky start let's just that is all it is.... a rocky start..
Give me a break. Microsoft tried to **** us in the ***, and we cried rape.
The lesson here is, don't try to cheat your consumers, and certainly don't ignore them when you have a more competent competitor.
If you guys like being screwed over as a consumer and enslaved to microsoft, be my guest. However, most of us prefer actually owning our games.
Find us in the Alps?
So let's check out the Launch Day lineups for the consoles.
Xbox One Exclusive Launch Titles:
Dead Rising 3
Forza Motorsport 5
Kinect Sports Rivals
Ryse: Son of Rome
PS4 Exclusive Launch Titles:
DC Universe Online
Killzone Shadow Fall
Multiplatform Launch Titles:
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Just Dance 2014
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
Madden NFL 25
NBA Live 14
Skylanders: Swap Force
Either way you go, this is probably one of the stronger launch lineups ever thanks to all the great cross-gen games coming out.
funny I never said that did I? I never said I didn't like owning my games did I? so please get your facts straight. I never said I liked what they are doing or did for this matter I was merely stating I liked that they were trying something new albeit it was wrong.
Their "trying something new" was an attempt to monopolize and control the used game market while restricting choice that never benefited the consumer. It was nothing that could have helped us, but it helped them and the big publisher corporations greatly.
You are right about it being a rocky start though.
But I thinkl next year everything will smooth out.
Most likely if Microsoft doesn't get sneaky. If they ever try to pull any of that crap off with the One while I own it, I'll sell it instantly with all my games.
PS4's exclusives are already kinda weak, DC Universe is a PS3/PC game & Diablo III & Warframe have been out on the PC for a while.. all of which are free to play. Well I'm certain Warframe & DCUO are on the PC anyway as I have downloaded & played both & not paid a penny, however I only know Diablo 3 is free from their website as it's not my cup of tea.
They wouldn't need to be charging people for these games at all nevermind a half the normal PS4 game price or anything like that.. I presume they will be free from the store, because none of which are high end PC games meaning pretty much the majority of basic PC's will be able to run them.
Obviously more games will be announced in the coming months, so the launch lineups aren't complete, but I think both current (exclusive) launch lineups are very weak to be honest. Luckily third parties are there to save the day.
Also, DAMN that PS4 controller looks nice next to the Xbone controller. I like 'em big.
The problem is that they shouldn't have tried to do this in the beginning. Not only that, but I just can't fathom how Microsoft thought that this was going to play out in their favor. When all the rumors about their plans regarding always online and used games came out, people where *****ing and moaning then too. And they fired one of their employees for attacking gamers for bringing up legitimate complaints, so it's not like they had their heads in the sand or anything.
