At 11:30 PM EST on December 19th, Yahoo did away with the "Discuss" option that has appeared at the bottom of every Yahoo news story for years.

While Yahoo currently has a message posted saying that they are working on a new discussion option that will allow more responsible postings, the real reason behind this decision was of course the huge number of troll posts that accumulated on message boards related to certain topics (gay marriage, racial issues, liberals vs conservatives, etc).
So while Yahoo is supposedly working on some kind of substitute discussion boards, hundreds - perhaps thousands - of misanthropic online trolls are wandering around the internet looking for someplace to rant and rave about "*******s", "neocon nazis", "homos", "muzzies", "fundies", and "(insert racial slur of choice here)".
Poor widdle trolls.
