Yahoo says all 3 billion accounts were hacked in 2013

It happened in 2013 and they didn't admit that accounts were hacked until 2016...and are now saying more accounts were hacked. I'm getting sick and tired of these companies waiting years to admit a customer's information was compromised. People in these companies should go to jail for that ****.

It needs to be law that companies have to publicly announce a hack within 24 hours after it happens.

Glad I use Yahoo for spam and **** I don't care about.

I have a Yahoo account with information so old I don't think any of it has been reliable in nearly 20 years.

I have a yahoo account. I use it to troll spammers. :D

By this time... every single site I have used since the 2000s and late 90s has been hacked.

My identity is probably easily accessible at this point.

I was always somewhat paranoid about internet security so I left out as much personal information as I could on most of them. Fortunately so far nothing serious has affected me although I'm under no illusion it won't happen eventually.

Back in the day everyone literally had Yahoo as their email and I doubt many of us even cancelled it so it's basically an Equifax thing.

if someone stole my identity, they might be doing me a favor. i should get all debt erased because of this
