Time for the third poll out of five. Hope you like this even better. :)

What does a "promising future" really mean? Is it only about being in popular films, or should the young star also have support from a large number of people? How much diversity does it have to be among the roles? A typecast actor/actress that always play similar characters, does he/she counts as successful?

The names will soon be there for you to see, so have patience with me :)

Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence are gimmes. They already have the careers the the rest on these lists aspire to.

Glad to see Joey King on this list. While just 15 she's already had a good solid career and she definitely makes an impression. She's like 1 big breakout role away from hitting it big.

I don't follow actors as much as actresses, but I'll go with Kodi Smit-McPhee, he's been solid in everything I've seen him in.

There are a few others I like, but can't quite bring myself to add them. Teresa Palmer is great (loved her in Warm Bodies), but I just don't see her breaking out. Hailee Steinfeld is another one, after True Grit I'd have said she had amazing potential, but she hasn't done anything remotely noteworthy since.

After Maze Runner Dylan 'O Brien is gonna be very sought after I feel. He does decent work on Teen Wolf and was the only appealing part of The Internship.

What's the definition of young?

Mia Wasikowska is 24 and has a solid career going between arthouse and more mainstream fare.

For female actresses, I use to call it the Jessica Alba - Natalie Portman scale.

Vanessa Hudgens is more towards Alba while Jennifer Lawrence is on the Portman side.

In the poll there are names that could manage to always land new roles while the others slowly fall to obscurity.
I have decided to vote for all of them: Evan Rachel Wood, Zac Efron, Hailee Steinfeld, Asa Butterfield, Jodelle Ferland, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Cera, Emma Stone, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Dakota Goyo. Not all of them will share the same degree of success, but atleast it will be enough to still be cast in films.

Strange that Asa and Dakota have got zero votes. I guess people don't believe in them

Asa Butterfield.
Hailee Steinfeld.
Joey King.
Tye Sheridan.
Ty Simpkins.
Quvenzhane Wallis.
Kodi Smit-McPhee.

I feel like Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence really shouldn't be on this list. They've already "made it" so to speak.

Elizabeth Olsen, Rooney Mara and Jennifer Lawrence are definitely the big 3 imo.

Is Miles Teller going to be in the next thread?

What's the definition of young?
People who are of a young age .
Or appear to be that (and still play youthful characters)

But it's about the future and not how big they are in the present.
I have to agree with you, though. Some people could most likely remain big.

Is Miles Teller going to be in the next thread?
It's already posted, and Teller is there :)
