The first 4 YAers (Patriot, Iron Lad, Hulkling, and Wiccan) vs Robin, Superboy, Impulse and Wonder Girl. I know this has probably been done before, but like I always I don't care, so le'ts get this started.

As much as I hate to say it, YA wins.
Wait...
I don't hate to say that. YA is my favorite Marvel book, next to Nextwave of course.

Young Justice would win completely. Superboy, Wonder Girl, and Impulse were all major hitters, and having them fight a team made up of newbies with virtually no experience? Superboy disassembles Iron Lad's armor, Wonder Girl beats Hulkling, Impulse obliterates Wiccan, and Robin vs. Patriot is a no-brainer.

Robin gets pwned because Patriot had MGH-driven powers and there's noone else there he could take - Maybe Wiccan if he could avoid the lightning and stop any spells, but, um... no. Impulse was just an annoyance, not much of a player until Kid Flash days. And now, of course, as Flash -- he's Da Man. The only people that could put up a real fight, IMO, would be Superboy and Wonder Girl. I'm not sure of Superboy's strength level and I don't know of Wonder Girl's powers but with Wonder and Super in their names you kinda fear for Young Avengers. Off the top of my head I'd say Superboy would be as prone to magic as Superman is and so could be batted away by Wiccan (IMO)

YA seems perfect: leadership, magic, strength, 60th century technology and incredible versatility in those powers. I just never saw such raw power in Young Justice (I had one trade, with Secret in it -- see trade thread in sig)

Going by that roster, I'd have to say Young Justice. I've never read the title, but just going by the line-ups there I can tell who'd end up with their pride in their pockets :)

(oooh, if only the runaways had been part of the match-up, I coulda made a 'pride' pun! damn!)

Or Wiccan destroys Superboy with magic.
Iron Lad's futuristic armour compensates for Impulse's speed and beats him.
Patriot would destroy Robin. um... Powers?? MGH-powered or current, it does not matter. In the original team he did have powers.
I have no idea what Wonder Girl's powers are, but they seem to be the generic flight/ strength etc and seeing as Hulkling's powers havn't been totally defined yet (in terms of strength etc) then I cannot see why he'd get beat as easily as you make it sound. You'd think once the others have been despatched as stated, that they'd be able to take her.

I like both groups but I have to vote YJ

Siimply because WG and SB way outclass the competition.

I'll concede SB might get taken down by Wiccan but more than likely not before he takes someone out first (insert YA here)

That leaves WG Impulse & Robin
vs hulkling Iron lad and patriot

Patriot vs Robin: Powers or not Robins training and equipment more than prepare him for patriot. Patriot goes down

WG vs Hulkling: Both are strong and can fly. Hulkling can shape shift wg is a goddesss (Daughter of Zeus actually)

Good fight but I give it to WG bec ause she is virtually indestructible and has a magic lasso.

IL vs Impulse: Normally I would agree IL has the advantage being from the future and armed with future tech, but you forget that impulse is also from the future and not so inexperienced when it comes to future tech. He would take advantage of IL's tech at super speed.

Overall give the YA a couple of years and some training under CAP and then ask again

Impulse was raised in a VR unit or something (matching his speed of growth) until being brought back to our time. Where's the experience? Plus he's from about 3000 years before Iron Lad, so lesser tech still (although, obviously, theyre different universe so different tech anyway)

Stupid branded "Super...", "Wonder..." and "Robin" *hmph* Stupid DC power levels... Maybe I'm just defending them cos they somehow seemed better than New Avengers and DC wins everything... Plus, yknow... Young Justice was torn apart. Oh, look... bye bye Superboy!! Cold.

If Iron Lad knew how to work his armor fully, I would say YA have a chance, but YJ definitely has this one. Wiccan can't fully control his magic, it takes too long, Hulking doesn't seem all THAT strong. Patriot is strong and all, but Robin has fought better and won, so I don't consider Patriot all that much of a threat.

But I don't think Impulse could win over Iron Lad. Iron Lad has far too much at his disposal for Impulse to be able to take advantage of. Someone said he had an idea about super advanced tech. Kang's armor tech came from pretty much the end of time, so it would probably be far ahead of Impulse's perception. But either way, YJ wins.

The main point of Impulse is that he has imense tactical experience but almost no real world experience. So, in a combat situation, he's quite adept, but in day to day life, he has trouble fuctioning.

DC definitely have affiliation advantage over the majority of marvel's groups...

i dont think this is any exception...

Exactly. He's reckless and makes mistakes, definitely more than most other kid heroes, but that doesn't diminish his threat level in the least. I mean, heck, the Hulk is reckless and makes mistakes too, but that still doesn't mean you shouldn't get the poop out of his way.

Wally already mentioned that Bart was as fast as him and possessed several abilities that Wally himself didn't have in his very first appearance. Impulse had a lot of power and potential before he ever became Kid Flash.

And do you think Superboy is just going to wait patiently and stare at his nails while Wiccan mumbles to himself and chants an obviously magical spell? Or is he going to just act like the hothead that he usually is and knock the guy into the next county? I like Wiccan, but let's face it; in any combat situation, his offensive capabilities are hopelessly at a disadvantage. He simply takes too long to do anything beyond "shoot things."

Heck, Robin would beat the shat out of Patriot even if he was leaking MGH out of his eyeballs. Tim eats drugged out metas for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and supper in Gotham. He's taken on much more dangerous opponents and walked away without much damage. HE WAS TRAINED BY BATMAN:D:D!!!!!

Definitely agreed. Power doesn't equal victory.

i can't find the stupid YOUNG AVENGERS THREAD if it exists.

Anywas i give this one to YOUNG AVENGERS

i love both teams, but Hulkling and wiccan have alot of power potential although i do believe ROBIN would own Patriot.

What is Superboy's strength level anyway? I know the tactile telekinesis allows him to lift whatever he touches, but how strong is his punch?
