Your favorite Broadway Musical?

Hands down it has to be Phantom of the Opera. I saw it when I was in 5th grade and I absolutely loved it, and I've been dying to go see it again ever since. I think it has a very powerful story and the music is just terrific. The characters are so believable and you can't help be relate to one of them.

I like "Poll". It's about this dude that continuously creates polls on an internet message board. Every time he makes a new poll, various members of the board burst into song and dance about.

That newcomer Erz, he can really cut a rug on stage.

In this play, does a Mod make his latest poll public?

That can't be done after a poll has been made. That's the romantic ballad for "Poll"...The Public Can't See

And here I thought there was nothing you (mods and up) couldn't do via vBulletin Production Co.

The King and I. Saw it as a teenager when Yul Brynner was the star.

Gotta say Wicked. DAMN YOU ALEXIA!:cmad:

The Spawn on Ice.

Here's my Broadway folder in Itunes in alphabetical order. Then I'll decide.

Starts with Avenue Q

I've seen Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Cats, and Miss Saigon in Broadway, New York, and Rent in OC, California. Of these musicals, I really like POTO, Les Miserables, and Rent. I'd love to see other musicals like Wicked and Chicago.

Wicked

The rest of my songs are singles which makes me sad cause I got a lot of good songs there, but I guess I need to buy the albums for bragging rights.

Now which one is my favorite?

:thing: :doom: :thing:

the only one i've seen was Beauty and the Beast and it was really good.

I haven't seen too many honestly, I definitely want to

But The Lion King was unbelievable, and I got Simba's autograph! haha (even if he was like 11 years old or something, but he was pretty damn good)

Damn, how could I forget The Lion King? Breathtaking, really.
I was taking away by Singin' in the Rain when I saw it on Broadway, talked about it for years.

Since when was The Wizard of Oz a Broadway musical?

I've been going to Broadway shows since kindergarten, so I have a ton of favorites and the list is always changing...but here are some random favorites:

Les Miserables
Rent
Man of La Mancha
Avenue Q
Ragtime
The Secret Garden
Hairspray
The Boy from Oz (wildest night I've ever had at a B'way show)
The Who's Tommy
Wicked

Off-Broadway: Hedwig & the Angry Inch and tick, tick, BOOM

I'm seeing Billy Elliot in London this fall, and I'm addicted to the cast album, so I'm predicting that will be joining that list soon too. :woot:

Rent went on tour last year and came here. It was amazing. The lyrical content is stellar and some of the songs could be played on the radio today. The message of the play is fantastic, if all you see is "a play about gays" then you're not really getting it.

Rent is coming back next week and i REALLY want to go but dunno if i'll have the cash

Little Shop is my all time favorite, but my current obsessions are:

Passing Strange
Hairspay
Legally Blonde :ninja:
