Batman Beyond: Year One
The Crow
Deadpool & Wolverine
Hellboy: The Crooked Man
Kraven the Hunter
Madame Web
Venom: The Last Dance

I bolded my choice.

Deadpool & Wolverine was the only one I’ve seen. It was fun enough even if it made no sense. I’ll probably watch Joker 2 tonight but I doubt it will change my mind.

From the ones that I've seen:

Hellboy: The Crooked Man
Madame Web
Deadpool & Wolverine

The Crow

What a year.

Deadpool & Wolverine. Terrible year for comic book films though. I just watched Joker 2 on Max last night and I want my money back even though I didn't even pay.

I haven't bothered watching Joker 2 yet, but I've watched the Pitch Meeting on YouTube, so I feel like I know what happens in the movie.

Deadpool & Wolverine. Really not a tough decision. :o

Last year was dreadful for comic book movies. Deadpool & Wolverine was the best one (which wouldn't mean anything in a good year), but I got more joy out of Madame Web :funny:

You know, 2024 was really all about television as far as superhero content goes. None of the movies stuck out (positively), but The Penguin, Agatha All Along, X-Men '97, The Boys, and Batman: Caped Crusader were all very good.

Deadpool and Wolverine.

The competition wasn't exactly stiff last year. It would be a tougher choice deciding the worst one.

2023 had Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which was so great it made up for the entire year.
2023 was a mixed bag with some high highs and low lows.

Across the Spider-Verse and Guardians 3 were great, TMNT: Mutant Mayhem was good, Blue Beetle and The Marvels were okay, Aquaman 2 and Shazam 2 were meh and The Flash and Quantumania were bad.

When there is at least one high high, then it's been a great year for comic book movies for me.

If I have to rank the years in this decade so far when it comes to cbms

1. 2021 (Spider-Man, Black Widow, Shang-Chi, Suicide Squad, Eternals, Venom)
2. 2022 (Black Panther, Dr. Strange, Batman, Thor, Black Adam, Morbius)
3. 2023 (Guardians, Spider-Man, Marvels, Blue Beetle, Flash, Shazam, Ant-Man, Aquaman)
4. 2024 (Deadpool & Wolverine, Venom, Madame Web, Joker, Kraven)
5. 2020 (Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman, New Mutants)

I'd agree with this.

2024 had more bad movies than 2020, but I just can't ignore the thrill when I watched Deadpool & Wolverine. Birds of Prey is fine but its not as fun as D&W. Also not having the option to watch New Mutants/WW84 in a cinema, also damper things more for me when I look back. Before the pandemic, I have seen almost every Marvel/DC live action movie in the cinema since 2012.

2025 is off to a bad start, but as long as Thunderbolts, Superman and Fantastic 4 are okay at best - it can't be as bad as 2024/2020. The lack of Sony films this year is a good thing. This year just needs two of those three upcoming films to be great, and I'd rank 2025 higher than 2021.

I do truly believe that we're getting the worst out of the way first with Brave New World, even though I thought it was more forgettable than outright bad in the way that Quantumania was.

I have them in my bottom 2 mcu films. Brave New World is the better one.

I'm not sure yet if there are other comic book films this year aside from Marvel and DC.
