I'm sure threas like this have been made before, but there are so many film competitions going around these boards these days that I was just curious. So, this doesn't necessarily have to be the greatest film, just your favorite. And since that might be hard to narrow down, if you have to, I guess you can list a group of your favorites, but preferably only a few, or else everyone's lists will begin to look the same.

you're going to get flamed buddy.

bad.

nothing irks the thread-nazis more than redundant threads.

Sorry, didn't know it had been done before.

But thanks for contributing to this apparently redundant thread.

Steven Speilberg's Hook.

Don't ask. I think it's the most enchanting movie ever made.

Waiting for Guffman

"People say, You must have been the class clown. And I say, No, I wasn't. But I sat next to the class clown, and I studied him."

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The Shawshank Redemption

Only movies I've been able to watch over and over again and not enjoy one bit less than the first time I saw them.

A few of my all-time faves...

Back to the Future (the original is still the best)
Lost in Space (great film in my opinion)
T2 (best of the series, with T3 not far behind)
Ferris Bueller (recently noticed all the language in it...it deserved a PG-13).
TMNT (1990 film; Elias Koteas was great as Casey; shame they recast April, too).
Star Trek VI (my fave of the "Kirk & Co." era)
Mary Poppins (a modern-day classic)
Joshua (Tony Goldwyn film, based on the popular novel by Joseph Girzone)
Batman Forever (my fave of the original films)

Keine überflüssigen Gewinde! :cmad::cmad::cmad:

...and I don't speak German*.:cmad:

Favorite movie? Raiders of the Lost Ark, and though it seems I mention it ever day it doesn't matter.

Raiders >>>>>>>>> everything else.

* Actually, I learned a bit a few years ago- Ya, das ist ein vargen! Nein, das ist kein vargen!
That's as far as I got before I had to return the tapes to teh library.

...let's see...Reservoir Dogs and The Devil's Backbone are fighting it out to go onto challenging Oldboy for the title of my current favorite.

The Long Good Friday (The best lead performance in the history of film)
One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest (Great comedy, and heartbreaking finale)
Goodfellas (Masterfully done in every aspect.)
The Good, The Bad and the Ugly (Most badass movie ever made.)
The Departed (The best movie of this decade, Scorsese back on top)
Get Carter (Michael Caine is awesomeness in the flesh)
Pulp Fiction (The finest Tarantino, made me fall in love with film)
The Godfather Part II (Grand, beautiful. Masterpiece)
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (so much fun, a very clever movie. Love all the noir-references)
Dog Day Afternoon (Pacino's best role, great 70's look)
The Man Who Would be King (the best adventure movie ever, Caine and Connery is the best film-duo)
Fight Club (So ****ed up, I love it)
Children of Men (I love it's gritty, handheld style. Has emotional bits aswell)
Layer Cake (one of the best British gangsterfilm around. Stylish, exciting, and cool as ****)
White Heat (The ultimate 40's gangsterflick. Cagney is jaw-dropping)

Batman Begins

Ask me again a year from now. I guarantee my answer will be different.

I knew it as soon as I clicked "Submit Reply".

But yeah. It's gonna be awesome.
