Starter, main course, dessert...whatever.

What is your favourite meal? Whether it be in a restaurant or good old home made grub.

There is this dessert we have in the Harvester restaurants over here in the UK called the "Rocky Horror". It's this big ice cream sunday glass with a hot chocolate fudge cake at the bottom, smothered in vanilla and chocolate ice cream with chocolate flakes mixed in, topped off with whipped cream and some wafers.

It's HEAVEN

Grilled steak seasoned lightly with pepper.
Lemon & Herb Asparagus
Mashed Potatos with Gravy.

Pretty much my perfect meal. :o

I love a good old fashioned cooked meal.

In the summer I love when my mom's boyfriend grills steak marinated in Jack Daniels whiskey, with a baked potato, corn on the cob and freshly made french fries. It's great.

When not grilling my mom makes some GREAT porkchops with green beans and mashed potatoes. DELICIOUS!! :wow:

Then follow it up with a slice of Reese's peanut butter pie.

Hmmmm can't beat a good BBQ. Especially if the meats marinated in JD

I do love the traditional Sunday roast too. Nice bit of beef, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, yorkshire pudding, green beans, carrots. All smothered in my mums home made gravy. Ooooh I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

It was maybe a year or two ago, I had a lot of disposable income and went out to eat with some friends. It was the first and only time I ever splurged so much on myself for a single meal, but here it goes:

Appetizer: A platter of sushi
Main Course: A plate of BBQ'd, deep fried, and tempura shrimp with a side of fries
Finisher: A series of Long Island Iced Teas

I was in seafood heaven, and nearly smashed by the end of the night. God bless the Elephant Bar. The only thing missing at the end of the night was a cheesecake. I went to the Cheesecake Factory once, but that meal only ranks #3.

BBQ is hard to pass up. I build muscle with my workout regiment, so eating alot meat is a good excuse for me. If there's a barbecue I'm at, I usually eat a good share of meat. We're talking ribs, chicken, and hot dogs. The sides would be potato salad, baked beans, and some rolls or that type of bread that we're famous for down here. We tend to put bread on the bottom of our meats and let it soak up a bit, and then we eat it last. It's better than drugs like that one Christian Rock song!

For dessert I'm down with almost any type of cake. Pie is different. I have alot of love for pie, but you gotta make it right. I'd kill someone for some good sweet potato pie, and there's only one person alive that can make it as good as my grandmother's "worth killing a man" pie was when she was still alive. That person is my mother. Only she can make that type of sweet potato pie, and anyone else that can do so will have me as a slave.

I don't understand the infatuation with sweet food. I have no desire, almost ever, to eat anything sweet. Cakes, candies, ice cream... it's just... unappealing to me.

You are one in a million then 'Bleed! :hehe:

At BBQs when someone offers me salad or something I'm like "Wha...?!?! I'm here to eat the meat *****!" **** going to a BBQ and eating a load of rabbit food.

Really? Because cake is my kryptonite, yellow, fire, loss of hammer, bound hands, loss of proximity to my homeland, and loud noises all rolled into one.

BBQ -
Steak -
Lobster -
Shrimp -
Vegetables -
Pastas -
Cheesecake - wtf? How'd you get in here? :down

:hehe: Ahhh cheesecake is like heaven. I've got me some sticky toffee cheesecake right now. Want some?

Take heed to this post folks! There's wisdom here. Wisdom!

I 'll just go with most recent. I'm usually not a big pork eater but this meal I cooked up was the exception, that's how I know it was good:

Grilled jerk pork tenderloin
Red beans & rice
Grilled corn
Jalapeno corn bread

It was the best pork loin/roast I've ever eaten.

Appetizer: Fried battered shrimp
Main course: Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo
Desert: Belgian waffles with vanilla ice creme, covered in chocolate sauce.

Pork chops and Mashed potatoes, i'd it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

chicken on top of chicken with a side of chicken. and chicken for dessert.

Dinner: A slab of barbecued pork ribs with a dry rub and a twice baked potato and collard greens
Drink: Beer

The last Christmas Dinner with my mom....

well i go to restaurant called Ali Baba, it looks like a 5 star restaurant btw
Appetizer: hummus with some bread
Main course: Beef Kabab with Rice/vegetables and Gyros with hummus
Desert: Mango Ice Cream

*drools*
