Okay, so I've been writing this script. It's on another computer, and as I sit down to write it again, I'd like some criticism on the direction and premise.

Here is the basic rundown.

Characters
Nightwing (Dick Grayson): Former sidekick to unnamed vigilante. No powers. Constantly feels as though he is stuck in someone else's shadow. Somewhat of a dick.
Slade Wilson (Deathstroke): Owner of Slade Entertainment and Slade International. You're basic multibillionaire. Stayed out of the limelight in Africa where he hunts game in his spare time. Son is killed in the beginning.
Starfire: An atypical "dumb blonde". I say "dumb blonde" because in fact she is neither. However her infectious naivete' comes from an otherwise sheltered existence and lack of experience with Earth Culture.
Cyborg: Affable tough guy with serious emotional issues. While he appears confident to his Metropolis fanbase, he is beyond removed. Feeling his newfound body and strength make him unable to feel (partly true) human again.
Beast Boy: A funny man and slacker. Had virtually no ambition amongst the crew of Caulder's circus. Gets his chance to finally be something more with the Teen Titans.
Raven: Gothic princess from Salem Massachusetts. Runs a Nightclub called Azarath out of a barn. Joins the Titans reluctantly.
Terra: Chain smoking bad girl. Finds herself attracted to the awkward and innocent Beast Boy.

Other Characters
Wintergreen
Trickster
H.I.V.E (Plasmus, Gizmo and Wilderbeast)
Michael Holt (not referred to as Mister Terrific)
Batman (mentioned, but unnamed)
Robin (mentioned, but unnamed)
Joker (mentioned, but unnamed)
Ravager (dies before start)

Premise: Deathstroke (Slade Wilson) loses a son when Ravager, acting as a vigilante (in co-operation with the FBI) is killed by a teenage superhero accidently during a raid. Slade Wilson, wrought with guilt and anger, decides the only way to avoid this fate in the future is to publically execute 6 teenage superheroes on television. To do so, he uses his charimanship on a local entertainment network to pitch a reality TV show which will pair 6 superheroes under one roof Big Brother style. He proceeds to stage villain attacks in hopes of showing the world the true dangers of untrained teen heroics. However, in the process he finds a kinship with the vigilante Nightwing, who is much like Ravager. Nightwing, through their growing friendship catches wind of Slade connection with the series of H.I.V.E attacks. In desperation Slade traps the teenagers within the tower to hunt them down himself, one at a time. Nightwing must find a way to save his new friends, and defeat the H.I.V.E once and for all.

I am a big New Teen Titans fan so I will give my honest opinion. First it seems to this that Dick Grayson is always complaining about being under Batman’s shadow. He really keeps that to himself in pre crisis continuity, until he gave up being Robin and became Nightwing. Next Starfire isn’t naïve that was really only in the cartoon. Raven running a nightclub is a bit of a stretch, she is the daughter of the devil. I love the premise; it seems great for a movie.

You know what they'll do with it, right? They'll turn it into a G-rated superhero movie since there aren't many of those. Kids buy toys, and a Teen Titans could sell a lot of product. Warner Brothers wouldn't risk losing out on profits on a G-rated movie by alienating little viewers by making it serious in any way.

well, it's not gonna be as serious as Batman, and no where near as violent as 300 but it's gonna have some type of Seriousness. I'm hoping somewhere in between The Original TMNT and Batman Begins. one can only hope

Yeah, don't worry. Raven is still very much the daughter of the Devil. In fact, if I were to write another fan treatment it would totally revolve around that very thing.

I agree with the other guys that the characters could use a little revising. But you did manage to find a cool way of getting more villains into the story besides Deathstroke, which I must admire.

I'm not too big on Slade solely being a big buisnessman. I could see him running a company to help hide his ill gotten gains, but I think he should still be a mercenary/assassin, as should Ravager.

He still is.

I have to admit... I would enjoy it. Especially if it poked fun at actually "reality" TV with some overstaged awkwardness. That'd be awesome.

I actually would probably enjoy it more than Titans Begins that I've been hearing about. The Titans are supposed to be about FUN, y'know?

I was trying to boiling it down to a paragraph.

S'okay. In any event, the "reality TV" plot isn't bad. It seems that everyone's having it, because back when Wizard was thinking of an "Ultimate DC," they had the Titans being a marketing ploy/reality show created by Lex Luthor, and when someone asked me how I'd do Ultrimate DC, having not read the Wizard article, I came up with them being a marekting ploy/reality show created by Maxwell Lord. But as Deathstroke's plan to kill the Titans, it's pretty clever.
