Who are your least favourite X-characters and why?

tough question... i can't think of who my least fave character is right now, but i'll tell you who it was when i was a kid.

when i was little, i was introduced to the x-men thru the animated series, which i loved. at the time, jean grey was my least fave of the show. granted, i didn't know about her comic awesomenees, but as a kid watching the show, it seemed like they portrayed her kinda weak for the most part.

she was always getting knocked out or hurting, and it seemed like she was constantly yelling "Scott" or moaning from using her powers.

but that was then, now that i know about the real jean, i appreciate her character. heck i loved endsong, and was sad at her death in nxm 150.

now, i gotta rack my mind and see who i dislike right now.

I don't really have a least favorite character..I see endearing and interesting things in most of the X-Characters.

You would.
Now why's it gotta be like that?

I just don't see why she gets to run the mansion, that's all. Oh, that, and she's a great big b_tch.

I hate Emma too, because Jean and Cyke were the perfect couple.
And seeing him with her is just crap.

i actually like Emma Frost the character. hate the scott/emma relationship, but i like the character.

i think there's more depth in that shell of hers somewhere. she was getting decent characterization for a while, but some writers prefer to keep her in the b*tchy skank mode, which i don't think really defines her completely.

Oh, I'll agree, she's a *****, but that's not all she is.

But I really agree that she shouldn't be allowed to run the mansion at all.

You're just jealous 'cause she got to sleep in Cyclops' bedroom and you didn't. ;) :p

Dude, this woman was there enemy for years. Things she did to Kitty, Jean, etc. She caused trouble in Scott and Jean's marriage.

Xavier leaves the mansion, Jean dies (for her umpteenth time), and Emma's practically shoe horn in to co-headmaster with Scott, just cause she's sleeping with him at the time.

I can think of countless X-Men better fulfilled to help Scott with the mansion than her. (Storm and Beast come to mind first off.)

If there's one thing Emma doesn't need to be doing, as much as I love her and her character, it's running the flipping school.

X-traordinary People: Mary Tyler Moore and the Mutants Explore Pop
Psychology
By Mitch Montgomery

In a new feature article at Silver Bullet Comics, Mitch Montgomery
searches for the connections between Robert Reford's 1980 film “Ordinary People” and the trade paperback “From the Ashes,” which collects nine issues of writer Chris Claremont's highly regarded work on “Uncanny X-Men.” See how both stories examine the psychology of storytelling and different methods of coping with loss. Also, find out what "Mohawk Storm" and Mary Tyler Moore have in common.

bcstar, you've posted this in about four threads already. Enough is enough. :o

i kinda agree. there are probably better people to help run the mansion, but i guess emma was picked cuz of her teaching experience and running the massachusetts academy, as well as being able to financially support the school.

i havent been able to read any comics lately, so i get my info from here so i dont know too much about what's been going on lately.

Jean Grey(Comic-Verse) irks me alot.I don't know why, but she just does.I like the Dark Phoenix though.

well to be honest, thinking about it a lil, Skin from gen x never did much for me so i guess i can say he's my least fave since i can't think of anyone else.

I've never been a fan of Mystique, especially in the comics. I never know what the hell side she's on, and I'm starting not to care anymore.

The whole double-crossing b____ personality gets kind of old.

I agree. I felt that way too. Half the time she was knocked flat on her ass, and the other times she was moaning about Scott.

And X1 didn't really do the character much justice. She was still pretty weak, and spent half her time in the infirmary or tugging on Scott's arm. But I've grown to like the character, and now (partly because of the Phoenix) she's one of my favs.

Kitty Pride: She is just an annoying little kid

i totally agree. she also has no dilemma central to her character making her much less interesting. i can't think of a major stryline she's had a main role in. the only good thing about her is colossus

There's not one long term member of the main X-Men teams that I don't like, although I'm less keen on a lot of the spinoff characters. It takes a long time for me to accept a relatively new character as a mainstream member.
