There's a lot of good **** coming out within the next couple years.. The purpose of this thread is to make everyone aware of these movies by saying which ones you're really looking forward too and why.

As of right now, there's a few things that I'm really looking forward to. One being Shymalan's new movie, "The Happening." I loved "Unbreakable", "The Sixth Sense", and "Signs" but I absolutely loathed "The Village" and had no interest whatsoever in seeing "Lady in the Water." However, the script reviews for "The Happening" seem to be really great and it sounds really interesting and a ballsy film. I mean, to have a movie that essentially revolves around people killing themselves on screen is something that's probably going to be really creepy watching onscreen. The only problem with this film that I can think of is how the **** can you end it? I mean, there can really be no resolution with this.. I don't know, I guess we'll have to see.

Another movie I'm really looking forward to is "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford." I've been looking forward to this since I first heard about it years ago. Then, I heard nothing about it for the longest time but a few weeks ago, a really nice review came out for it so my hype is up again for it. Brad Pitt supposedly turned in an awesome performance as the cocky Jesse James with a deathwish and Casey Affleck supposedly surprised a lot of people by stealing the show as the obsessive Robert Ford. This ones supposed to come out in the Fall and I'm really looking forward to it.

Avatar: This movie sounds like it can be the next great space epic. I'm a sucker for these kind of flicks and I think James Cameron is going to deliver. I'm also excited to see this supposed 3D camera system and all the visual effects that will be tacked on.

Sin City II: I'm really looking forward to this one. I loved, loved, loved the first one. I'm a sucker for visually pleasing movies and "Sin City" was the definition of that. I can't wait to see the next one as I'm hoping it will deliver as much as the first one did.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: I'm a Fincher nut and I'm excited to see him break out of his crime genre norm and venture into new territory. I also love Brad Pitt and whenever Fincher and Pitt team up, it's film magic. I hope this one will be a great one.

So what are you guys looking forward to?

Curious Case- DEFINITELY!!!

If you haven't read it yet, read it- it's STARTLINGLY BRILLIANT! They should teach this- NOT Great Gatsby.

If we're talking the next few years

The Dark Knight is no. 1 followed by POTCAWE, and The Watchmen, and Iron Man

but this year

1. POTCAWE
2. Spiderman 3
3. Halloween
4. Grindhouse
5. Transformers tie Harry Potter

AWE: It has Johnny Depp returning as Jack Sparrow... enough said.

Transformers: I was nervous about this film, but the trailer makes this film look like alot of fun! Should be a awsome ride!

Wolfman: Love the original! Looking forward to the sequel.

The Dark Knight: Loved Begins and Im pretty sure this one will be just as good if not better.

I can't wait to see the full trailers for the following movies:

Iron Man
Incredible Hulk
The Dark Knight
Watchmen
Indy 4

2008 is going to rule!!!

The Dark Knight. also The Wolfman, Avatar, i heard something about a remake of Johnny Got His Gun, and i'd definitely look forward to that.

this year, Spider-Man 3, Transformers, and The Simpson's Movie

1st-Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
2nd-Harry Potter and The Order of The Pheonix
3rd-The Dark Knight
4th-Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer
5th-Iron Man
6th-Rush Hour 3
7th-Transformers

Another movie I can't wait to see that's in development hell is "Inglorious Bastards" by Quentin Tarantino. Here's some info on it.

Set in World War 2, Tarantino's story revolves around group of soldiers on their way to be executed, only they get the chance for a reprieval. He describes them as "Not your normal hero types that are thrown into a big deal in World War II." This is the only information he will release at present.

A WW2 film with Tarantino directing and so far Madsen and Roth starring in? Count me in.

The Dark Knight and Iron Man. (For 2008, along with whatever I will look into later this year)
They have been my favorite DC and Marvel superheroes since I was a kid.
Nolan is one of my Top 5 favorite directors and I am glad to see Iron Man hit the big screen.

For this year, Rush Hour 3, The Bourne Supremacy, Transformers, and Spider-Man 3.

Avatar. Because it's James Cameron. And it's not a remake, sequel or adaptation. It's not often you see that when it comes to big summer blockbusters these days.

Batman and Indiana Jones will always be very close to my heart...I grew up on Batman comics, the cartoons and the Burton movies. The Indiana Jones movies are some of the greatest adventures ever put to screen.

And the HP movies...well, I read the books, well, so far...and they keep getting better, I know what to expect now when an HP movie comes out...big budget, big effects and a great time at the movies.

These are the films I anitcipate the most;

Spider-Man 3- I'm a spidey fan, been a huge fan of the first two films as well.

Transformers- Autobots wage their war against the evil forces of the Decepticons, 'nuff said.

Halloween- I loved the original Halloween, I think Rob Zombies is cool, they go well together like cheese+bacon.

28 Weeks Later- Loved 28 Days Later, I love the whole end of the world idea caused by rabies gone bat****, in a sense.

1.Spider-Man 3: One of my favorite movie series is back with it's original cast and crew (except Elfman I read) equals.... me there for a second one

2. Pirates 3: Johnny Depp (as one of cinemas greatest characters) plus Orlando Bloom = my ass is in the theather on opening weekend.

3. Hellboy 2: The first one was a way too little seen gem with one of the greatest directors working today. Yes I will be there with red on.

4. Avatar: It's a movie from the director of T2, nuff said.

If memory serves me correct, 2008 includes The Dark Knight, Indy IV, John Rambo and Bond 22...If so, OMG@!#<KJ$%J($*!()#$)$#($E#
