Thanks, When I bought Batman Begins it came with a little comic book collecting The Man Who Falls and the first part of The Long Halloween. This encouraged me to begin buying the books, and I began with The Long Halloween. So I guess from late 2005/early 2006 onwards.

In my version it's only 16 pages but does exactly what is generally glossed over by all other stories. It covers how he began, from falling into the cave, to witnessing his parents murders, travelling the world and training with the best etc. It has a couple of pages from Shaman and Year One as well.

It's absolutely fantastic.One of the best Batman stories.You'll know it when it's over.You will start reading it again.Great stoy great art.

Yeah. I read the first part, and then I had to read it all. It's wonderful. Sale's art is super, and Loeb can really write Batman. ( Say what you want about HUSH, it was a good story IMO.) Best thing of THL is that it's just as much murder mystery as a Batman story. Definately going to get Dark Victory and Catwoman: when in rome.
