I looked for a thread like this and couldnt find one

Anyway if you were running the show, what would your plan be for ALL DC Comic Adaptions from Justice League character movies to The Sandman, animated movies, and TV shows. I'm interested in the business of movie making and this thread are for ppl who have the same interest as me.

Give it some time, man. People will respond. I'll give you a nice, long, detailed response very soon. Just gonna cook some dinner and eat first.

This is my plan for the JL movie...I'll have more on other stuff later maybe

I would get the ball rolling on WW, Flash (Wally West), GL, Superman, and Green Arrow (not Super Max)*** films so that they can all be released between 2011-2013

After TDK2 is released I would wait about another 2-3 years to cast a new Batman along with new director, and make another film that would not be a Bruce Wayne origin story but still like Batman Year One how it is grounded somewhat in reality but other heroes exist.
With the new Batman i would make the ending (Last 2 mins) set up the JL movie. THe JL would hit a month after the Batman movie is out of theaters
Then using the cast from the other Superhero films i would make the JL movie that would introduce Martian Manhunter

Sequels for Batman would come after JL movie

Justice League Live Action Universe Partial Cast
Cast:
Clark Kent/Superman- Brandon Routh
Bruce Wayne/Batman- Henry Cavill
Diana Prince/Wonder Woman- Cobie Smulders
Wally West/ Flash- Scott Porter
Hal Jordan/Green Lantern- Josh Harnett
Oliver Queen/Green Arrow- Ryan Gosling
John Jonzz/Martian Manhunter- Jon Hamm

Supporting
Lex Luthor- Kevin Spacey
Joker- Joseph Gordon Levitt
Alfred Pennyworth- Jim Broadbent
Maxwell Lord- Josh Lucas
Jay Garrick- Gary Cole
Lois Lane- Natalie Portman
Hippolyta- ???
Sinestro- Hugo Weaving

Director (JL):
Joss Whedon. Because he understands superheroes. Also hes a feminist so he would get WW real well

Writers (JL): Joss Whedon and Rich Fogel

***Super Max isnt a good idea for the first Live action Green Arrow movie because...it would be the first live action Green Arrow movie many people (including myself) dont know that much about his origin. From what I know he was marooned on a island. Which would make a perfect first part of the movie. Think of how part of Iron Man was like a political thriller, Green Arrow could be like a great cast away story.
Just throwing him in a prison w/o telling us much about the character seems like a bad idea to me

Also I would get rid of that "dark is better" mentality they WB seem to have

I would rather not neglect Nolan;s wonderful interpretation of the Batman and instead establish (outside of the main films) that the Dark Knight has been keeping tabs on several super-powered individuals...

The first one would obviously be Super-Man and then Wonder Woman. This would happen in a "TRINITY" film and would essentially be a prequel for a full blown "JUSTICE LEAGUE"

Spring 2010 - Jonah Hex

Winter 2010 - Green Lantern

Summer 2011 - Superman Unleashed

I'll keep it simple.

First of all no Justice League for the time being because it's not an interconnected universe like Marvel anyway, and I kind of like each franchise maintains its own integrity. Batman makes its best damn universe in the Nolan's trilogy, Superman gets its own more fantastic universe, so does WW more magical one and so on.

Then, the big 5 is the priority. DC is about the depth of telling its main characters, Marvel is about breadth of telling of all characters. To keep the story short, DONT FOLLOW MARVEL STYLE. Concentrate on Batman, Superman, GL, Flash, Wonder Woman and their sequels. Perhaps some better known 2nd liners like Green Arrow or Hawkman to intersperse but know that this is riskier than just expanding the big 5 saga and creating something like Star Wars franchise out of them.

Right now, thats in question.

Reports hit that WB may want the Terminator sequel in summer 2011.

Reports have hit that internet rumors are not to be trusted. Especially for movies that haven't even opened and who's box office might not warrant a sequel.

Green Arrow's origin IS covered in the Supermax script, in flashback form. They just have a more interesting action adventure story around that origin.

EXCLUSIVE: ‘Justice League’ Movie Still A Possibility, Says Director… Just Not Anytime Soon

“The Dark Knight” was a proven success, both critically and financially. If fan reaction can be believed, Warner Bros. seems to be pushing all the right buttons for an upcoming “Green Lantern” feature film to follow suit. Mention a “Superman” revamp, a “Wonder Woman” casting rumor or the latest scuttlebutt on Marvel’s sure-to-be-geekgasmic “Avengers” project, and watch the message boards light up.
Clearly fans want to see what would arguably be the Holy Grail of comic book flicks, “Justice League,” but given all of the news lately regarding a possible “JLA” flick being delayed indefinitely, should we even bother getting our hopes up? Attached director George Miller thinks so…just don’t hold your breath.
“I’m still attached to the film,” said Miller in an exclusive chat with MTV. “Warner Bros. is waiting to develop the other characters a little bit and then bring ‘Justice League’ together. After the success of ["The Dark Knight"], it’s well known that they will develop the other characters and then bring them together in ‘Justice League’. That’s a fair way down the track.”
Miller has long been the voice of a “Justice League” film, always there to remind DC-ites that it’s indeed still alive and that he is still on board to direct (even when news outlets say that he’s not), but it looks like Warner Bros. and DC Comics are officially following Marvel’s model of releasing single-hero movies that would build up to an ensemble film.
In any event, be sure to keep it tuned to Splash Page for more on Miller and “Justice League” as it’s announced.

My plan would be to send Warner Brothers DC comic books and tell them to actually read them. That way, they will have some idea what the characters movies should be about.

You want Bale to be playing Batman when hes like 40? I love Bale as Batman. But he cant play him forever. Also how is he gonna be Batman in the JL movie if the current continuity that he is in doesnt involve other heroes

If RDJ can play Ironman at 40, Bale can definitely play Batman at 40.

Not to mention, he said he'd do 6 films as Batman as long as the script is tight and true to Nolan's approach.

Batman in the current comics was around 40 during Infinite Crisis. It's a great age for the character.

After the Armie Hammer disaster, there's no way WB will replace Bale anytime soon.

Heck, they signed him onto Terminator just because they love his star power so much.

It was a pretty credible report. I remember Showtime and Jamie at Screenrant even quoting the strong possibility of Terminator 5 in 2011.

I don't understand why some people want to use all of the real big 7 except The Flash. You have all of the founding memebers there (sans Aquaman) except The Flash. That's ****ing stupid, IMO. Use the real big 7, fer godsakes, man! You have all the heavy A listers and then you have Kid Flash dressed up like Flash. Uh uh. He's not compatible with the rest of the group. He didn't co found the JLA, he co founded the Teen Titans. Barry Allen co founded the JLA and was Hal Jordan's best friend, ****, he even suggested the group's name:

He has to be The Flash in the movies. At least for a while anyway. :D

Actually Hal Jordan's best friend is Oliver Queen and Barry Allen's best friend is Ralph Dibny.

Ollie is very close to being Hal's best friend but he isn't. Barry is. Barry and Hal never fought with each other, for one thing, unlike Hal and Ollie. Barry and Hal hung out a little bit more than Hal and Ollie did. Ralph's best friend was Barry. Barry's best friend was Hal. Hal's best freind was Barry. :D

Barry was also Batman's favorite Flash. :D

Best friends fight a lot.

Besides, people want Wally as Flash in the movies instead of Barry because he is quite simply the more interesting character.

Hey man I respect what your saying but I'm just a huge Wally West fan. I had this idea of the first scene of the flash movie is Wally putting on the Flash costume and then having a talk with Jay Garrick about the death of Barry.
I mean if you want Barry thats you, but I like the humor of Wally West more and the personal struggle that he has trying to be as good as Barry.
Also by your arguement then Black Canary should be in the movie and Wonder Woman and Batman shouldnt be in it

Best friends fight a lot.

yep yep

Damn, you got me with RDJ its true he proves you can play a hero in your 40s...same with Norton in the Hulk
I love Bale but idk I think the thing that interested me to him as an actor is his versitality in his roles. I guess I dont want to see him playing the same character (no matter how great he is) for near 10 years
