I blame Disney, Peter Jackson, and James Cameron for hogging all the most talented VFX artists for the past and probably next decade. :o

Once again. I think the filter is making the CGI look worse than it really is.

I wish cgi was used more sparingly but that's just how movies are made now I guess  I'm pretty young, but still prefer the realism of movies without cgi overkill.

I agree. At least we have Suicide Squad. That movie seems to be using CG well.

I don't think that happened in X3, unless there's an uncut special edition that I didn't watch. The whole X-Men continuity is thrown out the window after the last movie, so I don't know.

I must not be a sophisticated enough fan. :whatever: Because I think the Apocalypse trailer is great and its CGI looks just fine to me.

Big X-Men fan here. I love the younger reboot cast for X-Men. First Class is my favorite X-Men flick (I like it better than DoFP, for my own reasons), and it's among the handful of my top all-time favorites for CBMs in fact.

I am psyched to see the Apocalypse story, which looks awesome to me. I cannot wait to see this film!

The BvS trailer seems the epic event film where as CACW seems like a smaller scale, third act of CATWS, and XMA reminds me more of XMFC than DOFP. All three are big stories, but BvS seems is most interesting for me personally because it is relatively new and fresh, as opposed to the other two which we've seen these versions of the characters through several films in the MCU and in the XMU.

Though it does have one ridiculously CGI'd scene with that truck's crash and guitar flying in the air.

It is the only one I could say "it's a CGI" though.

Exactly. That CGI in XA looks like a video game. Wow!

The CGI does look a little spotty for X:A, but we're only one the first trailer. There's plenty of time of time to improve, and as far as effects go, we've all seen worse.

Turtles 2, on the other hand...

I keep watching the new trailer and I keep seeing the same "problem"...

Batsuit makes bats appear as if he has no neck...as if hes always hunched over..

Also I cant believe people once complained about Bales Bat-voice, specially with the really awful looking and sounding "I thought she was with you" line...(imagine, Kevin Conroy delivering the same line with a smirk as he says it, without taking his eyes off their enemy)

Michael Keaton couldn't turn his neck at all in his bat suit yet that wasn't a problem. Seriously the things people complain about, get a life.

Best trailer out there recently imo. X-Men movies (except X3) have been stellar so this won't be different.

I hope BvS would be more similar to X:Men than Avengers type of movie. Less forced jokes and more depth.

That's a great way of looking at it, I like that. The X-Men series has blended the dramatic approach and a bit of humor in a very satisfying way.

I'm expecting this film to be more visually stylized than either X-Men or MCU films. And in terms of overall feel and narrative style, it might come across more like a great (original) graphic novel brought to life than any CBM film we have seen thus far. That should work if it is a great story. It might have a few weaknesses (very few films are nearly flawless*). But if the story feels epic, the action is great, and we become invested in the characters, then for me it will be a huge win.

    * I approach film appreciation not unlike my response to people. I try to remember that I should only really care that the right people like me for the right reasons. And I strive to live by the golden rule in that regard. And this is pretty much the same principle that I apply to appreciating films. People are a mix of good and bad, strengths and weaknesses, and traits I like and sometimes dislike. Films are the same. Would I have nothing to do with a person just because he or she isn't flawless, or there are a few things that bug me about them? Would I judge a person as 'bad' because there were some things about him or her that I dislike or wish were different?

Telling people to get a life when posting on a forum that's about nerding out about superhero movies seems a bit hypocritical. I don't get your argument either. How can he not dislike that aspect of the suit just because you don't dislike that aspect of the suit in a movie from 89?

I've been praising Batman in these trailers and don't have any issues with him, but that kind of insult based defensive behavior turns me off anyway.

What I'm saying is if that's all you have to complain about then its sad. Nitpicking I find ridculous. I stand by that aswell.

Well then don't respond simple as.

It's kind of a major issue with the design. I don't see how it's nitpicking.
