I don't know how many of you have seen it, but there's a 3 part animated short called Ironman's Adventure, with Ironman, Spidy and the Hulk on the Marvel.com website and I think it's pretty freaking cool. The animation is beautiful, they look like video game bumpers.

I noticed Sava has already made a pretty cool avi from it. Speaking of which, I know we all had a very long debate over Hulk talking last year. Well he talks plenty in his part of the short, and for as much as it's worth, I like it. Granted I would've tried to make him sound a bit more intelligent, they stuck with the basic third person, "Hulk Smash!" dialogue. I thought of Sava cringing, the whole time Hulk spoke, lol!

    Check it out here:http://marvel.com/

I think him speaking like that in the movie would be fine. Just as long as its not too much. Just enough during a battle to let us enjoy it. I would enjoy a full length feature like that. The CGI is pretty cool.

I definitely think he looks cool, I wouldn't be too surprised if the movie hulk bares just a little resemblance to that...

lol... i want Hulk to talk, the third person bit actually sounded fine... but a whole movie of that would actually make me cringe.

I feel his voice should sound a little less like that and a little deeper like in Ang's film, but the animation itself was solid.

The short showed me that Hulk doesn't just need facial expressions, I loved "HULK SMASH!!!" If he does talk, I hope it's just in the end fight with abommy, that's the only time I think he should speak...

& Ang's hulk voice was ok, but it wasn't gravvelly enough, I'm working on hulk as a Mugen character, making him more like the savage hulk than the proffessor hulk that they used in MVC, & I been editing a friend's voice for hulk, & I found that it didn't matter how deep his voice was, it needed a gravvely sound to sound hulkish... If you'd like to hear it, I'll post it :)

I do hope Hulk talks in the film, but only when he fights abommy, like he gets so pissed he just screams "HULK WILL SMASH!!!"

i didn't like him using their actual names...

i would have prefered metal man and bug boy/insect.

    with a deeper voice...

loved the height though, always love the height.

I didn't care for Hulk's voice. Maybe something like the 90's cartoon would have worked better.

Other than that, it was pretty good. I thought it was going to be kiddy and dumb, but it wasn't really.

I wrote this in another thread.

I would love it if the Hulk in TIH were similar to the one in that clip. Bannerless Hulk can eat my shorts. :oldrazz:

It was a cool video and I am all up for Hulk talking in this movie but only in 3rd Person. I just think the dark and gritty tone they are aiming for won't work well with 3rd Person "Hulk Smash" speech. Maybe if they were aiming for a Fantastic Four tone movie then it would be ok.

    That was totally awesome.
And I gotta tell ya...I really liked him saving the puppy. Awesome touch. I think that was better than him just punching the robot away...it showed him as Hulk the protector.
By the way--was the dog chained to the parking meter--and that's why the Hulk ripped it out...to free the dog?
I could watch a day-long movie of stuff just like that.

Yes he was. The Hulk rips the meter up out of the ground and the puppy goes free. I think that's why Iron Man said "Way to go Big Guy"

I smile everytime I watch that clip. :applaud

Huh? I loved it. From another thread, starting with this post by Iron_Stark who first made known the video's whereabouts, here's what I wrote:
Wow, that was pretty cool. I'm going to send it to a couple of friends. Loved all of the Hulk's lines; him talking to the puppy was cute. Would love to see him presented the same way in TIH.

Food for thought... the video leaves no doubt that the Hulk is a hero. If he simply wanted to be left alone, does it not stand to reason that he wouldn't have chosen to get involved? [Addition: Does anyone have a problem with this?]

You could have said this ^ yesterday BH. You did see the sticking out the tongue thingy didn't you BH? I'm suprised that there are others that would like to have the Hulk portrayed like this in TIH. I thought most were against him talking like that.

Well, I didn't think you were being very clear about why you supposedly knew people would flame you. And I tend to assume we're all keeping up with the threads. Anyway, I know you didn't mean harm.

And yeah, I am impressed how good the Hulk sounds in the video. Ya got me pard'ner. :O

No harm no fowl. I made the assumption that people would understand what I was getting at. I remember in the “How should the Hulk talk” (or something like that) thread that most were against the Hulk talking like he does in that clip. I think that is how he should sound. Not stupid, but like he’s having a hard time getting it out. Like me. :O

On that note, I think you mean no harm, no foul, not "fowl" (wild game, livestock, etc.).

Yeah, they done good on Hulk's voice IMO. I wonder how it'd be done different for a real film, though. Does it only need to be deeper, as some people are suggesting? Does he need to say less or change his inflection (the way he emphasizes words)?

D'oh!! alhough I could be saying that's no "Turkey"

I think it sounds dead on. I don't know what the big deal is. That is how he talks and how I think he should sound.

Alot of hooked on phonics candidates on the forum, lol. Anyway the Hulk was rendered really well in those shorts and hopefully all that money being spent to make TIH will get us something better.

That Iron Man 3 parter short was awesome!! I wish Marvel would make more straight to dvd films in that cg style. I loved the mash up that came w/ the dr. strange dvd. All those various excerpts from the different marvel video games. Better than alot of the last few films!:hoboj:
