You can easily go through them by using YouTube and finding a GotG2 soundtrack playlist.

I've had "Brandy" in my head ever since the movie, so that wins out. Though I've always loved that song. I'd go:

1. Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)
2. The Chain
3. Surrender

1. Fox on the Run
2. Mr. Blue Sky
3. The Chain

1) The Chain
2) Lake Shore Drive
3) My Sweet Lord

4) Father and Son
5) Bring it on Home to Me

Bonus, fave songs from vol.1

Moonage Daydream
Fool Around and Fell In Love
I'm Not In Love

My favorite songs from the Vol. 2 soundtrack:

1. My Sweet Lord (of course, George was my favorite Beatle)
2. Surrender
3. Mr. Blue Sky
4. Southern Nights
5. Fox on the Run

But as to how they were actually used in the context of the film, I'd go with:

1. Father and Son
2. Mr. Blue Sky
3. The Chain
4. Come a Little Bit Closer (I liked the chorus bit they added towards the end of the song)
5. Southern Nights

The Chain
Southern Nights
Come A Little Bit Closer
Mr. Blue Sky
Lakeshore Drive
My Sweet Lord
Guardians Inferno

Fox on the run wasn't even in the movie

I was going to say, I don't recall Fox on the Run.

What were the post-credit songs? I thought I heard a lyric about a father being a planet, but I wasn't certain.

1) Surrender
2) Lake Shore Drive
3) The Chain

Surprised no-one has said Wham Bang Shang-A-Lang

That song is so hypnotic and beautiful, and the scene they use it in is visually spectacular.

Winner: Southern Nights. Great tune and just an awesome scene.

Runner up: My Sweet Lord. Anytime you can make me love a tune I've always cordially hated, you done good.

Fox on the run wasn't even in the movie

They advertised that on the actual soundtrack so it wasn't a surprise, but I think they should have included it. I would have replaced "Lake Shore Drive" with it in the film.

Probably my third favorite. Great call by Gunn.

Mr. Blue Sky
My Sweet Lord
Wham Bam Shang a Lang
Brandy
Guardians Inferno

It's on the Awesome mix 2. Gunn said they all didn't make it INTO the film.

Fox on the run is my fave tho off the Awesome mix. It was the flipside of the Ballroom Blitz 45

then Mr Blue sky, Surrender

My main disappointment is that "Flashlight" only made it into the credits and not into the actual film.

Sad that Fox on the Run didn't make it in the film.

1. Southern Nights - this song brings back childhood memories. My dad loved Glenn Campbell, I had the 45 for those that remember what that is. I loved the scene where they used this in the film.

2. Lake Shore Drive

3. Come a little bit closer

4. The Chain

5. Brandy

While the music in this film isn't as iconic as how Hooked on a Feeling or Come and Get Your Love were in the first film, I actually overall like vol 2 Awesome mix better as a whole.

1. Surrender (Cheap Trick)
2. Chain (Fleetwood Mac)
3. Flashlight (Parliament)

Was kinda disappointed Surrender was only a credits song, would have loved it during an action sequence.

1. Come A Little Bit Closer
2. The Chain
3. Wham Bang Shang A Lang
4. Brandy

I'll go with:

1-The Chain
2-Mr Blue Sky
3-Surrender

1) Brandy
2) Fox on the run
3) come a little bit closer
4)the Chain
5) Father and son ( got a bit choked up when that started playing)

I felt overall the music was used even more effectively than in the first film, except for come and get your love.

My Sweet Lord (it grows on me more and more everyday!)
Come a Little Bit Closer
The Chain
Father & Son

1. The Chain - Fleetwood Mac
2. My Sweet Lord - George Harrison
3. Flash Light - Parliament (this movie seriously has the best looking and sounding end credits ever)
4. Brandy (You're a Fine Girl) - Looking Glass
5. Surrender - Cheap Trick

I think 'Fooled Around and Fell In Love' by Elvin Bishop is still my favourite song overall from both movies, I absolutely adore that song.

I've been playing that song obsessively for the last few days. :hehe:
