He's the go-to-guy for movie franchises that are loyal to the source material. What 5 franchises do you wish he would save. They can be old or new franchises.

1. DBZ
2. GI Joe
3. He-man
4. Justice League
5. King Conan or Thundercats

Snyder on He-Man? You may be on to something...

Um. Why Snyder? There's better directors out there.

Fantastic Four
Aquaman
Wonder Woman
Green Arrow/Supermax
Green Lantern

Snyder's sensibilities are too dark for most that are listed here.

But, I'd love for him to take a crack at X-Men.

The Punisher
Daredevil
Green Arrow
Ghost Rider
Hawkman

Oh, snap, I totally forgot Daredevil. He'd be perfect!

X-Men (this is the easiest comic franchise to make sequels to outside Spidey and Batman. There are more stories to tell and a large enough fanbase around alot of characters to keep making these films. Zach can do this.(
Sin City (not to save, but to bring it back bc their should be two more and it is taking entirely too long to get RR, Tarantino and Frank Miller back together)
Constantine sequel
Punisher sequel
The Justice League movie
(that movie is screwed before it even comes out and I think he could make an interesting take on it.)

Outside of comic books, I wish Zach would do 28 Months Later.

Did you read his original post? This guy is the truest to the material of any director. Their is no other director dedicated to making comic book movies true to the source outside of Nolan and Singer and even they aren't aligned with the comics like we read.

^Uh, he's only got one comic book movie under his belt(one I didn't think was anything special) so I'd hold off on his messiah-ship for now. What is he supposed to be, Barack Obama?

Yes he has only one but he has another coming with the exact look and feel (if I imagined it on screen) of the comic. If you didn't like 300 then you were not a fan of the graphic novel and even if you weren't you can't deny the work he did to put that to life.

And that is a corny Barack Obama joke by the way.

What's Snyder to dark for?

Dark was the wrong word. I meant to say adult. He's said before that he would not want to do a mainstream comic book film (Justice League, Fantastic Four, etc.)

You're right in that I wasn't a fan of the graphic novel. I am not in the camp that thinks direct adaptions from source material is the best way to go. As it has been said, there are far better directors doing comic movies out there. Nolan, Favreau, Raimi & Singer(sometimes for those 2) are all better, IMO.

Oh, and that joke may be corny but it's spot on.

Which franchises aren't "adult enough" then?

That's disappointing.

Snyder did say he'd like to direct a Dark Knight Returns adaption, though.

Daredevil - but more in his Dawn of the Dead style than 300/Watchmen

Not really sure but take this into account. He supposedly turned down the position to direct SWAT because they wouldnt let him make it R. But he is adapting a childrens book now though

Franchises he should save:
Daredevil
Punisher
GI Joe
Ghost Rider
Hellblazer

What I'd rather see him do:
Moon Knight
Iron Fist
The Invisibles
Doom Patrol
and maybe Swamp Thing (but Id rather see Cronenberg)

I would love to see what Snyder could do with Fantastic 4, but that will not happen. I think he's the right guy for a Masters of the Universe film.

what makes him "THEEE" director to save a movie franchise? what makes him so special?

Did you read the OP? Its based on him being one of the truer (if not truest) to the source material.

Which is not always a good thing, IMO.

Snyder doing both Daredevil and the Punisher would be amazing!
Maybe even a Batman movie would work too(and yes, I do like nolan, but still)
And i could see him doing a catwoman movie that is alot darker and is truer to the comics.
