I've actually never seen Edward Scissorhands, definitely need to do that someday.

I haven't gotten to see Big Eyes yet and I'm not really a huge fan of his Batman movies in general. Burton seems to do better when he's using his own original material. His adaptations of existing work are, problematic at best.

It's referred to as "Tim Burton's" The Nightmare Before Christmas, he co-wrote it, he produced it, and his signature is all over it. I count it as a Burton movie for these reasons.

Give it a chance, I'm like you and don't care much for Burton. I think he's over-rated and relies too much on the same ****. But Big Fish I couldn't believe his name in the credits after watching it on TV, it didn't come off as very Burton-esque at all.
