Do you think Zod using regeneration from the Sun could return like Supes did in Doomsday saga? Althought I don't want it cause it will change the effect of MOS ENDING but Speculating, Speculating

I doubt it. I mean, if they wanted to go that angle, they could have easily done so with the Phantom Zone.

It's going to be interesting if there's any mentioning of Zod's corpse in the sequel and how they disposed of it. I think the impact of being forced to kill Zod in a very unfortunate setting is going to be key in allowing the story and Clark's emotional side of things continue to build through character and back-bone.

Would be interesting to see Faora and Jax-UR somehow escape the PZ and somehow revive Zod in any type of capacity, but that's highly doubtful since this is supposed to be a grounded journey to Clark's world. The kill-shot was put in place for a reason.

I could definitely see the corpse coming up.

It would have been interesting if they had imprisoned Zod as opposed to killing him. But I do think the character has run his course.

So now we wonder what Superman did with the body

-didnt give it to the military

-couldn't burn it since its indestructible

Since Emil Hamilton died within the gravitational pull with the phantom-drive projector with Colonel Hardy, maybe the authorities passed the body along to a brilliant mastermind scientist whose genius is the only one who could crack a genetic code and study more information about Kryptonian cells to have understanding of alien lifeforms....that scientist being Lex Luthor. This is where his obsession comes in. Hmm....

Lex has it. He's running tests on it as we speak in an attempt to replicate a Kryptonian of his own and find a weakness.

I'm going to get killed for this, bu for a second after Supes snaps his neck I was wondering why Zod just didn't get up and put it back in place. I admit I don't understand very much on how it works but wouldn't the sun allow them to heal?

I'd like to think Superman gave Zod's body a proper burial in an undisclosed location. I'm sure if he left it around where the army scientists could get a hold of it they would experiment on it like crazy.

The only chance of Zod coming back is if they put his body in the ocean. Remember what happened with Megatron?

Come to think of it, they put Osama in the ocean. Just saying...

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they announced Michael Shannon was coming back for the sequel.

Maybe tossed it into the Sun?

If the sun is part of the reason that Kryptonians are powerful on Earth....that could cause some interesting things to happen.

Supes dropped his body in the Laurentian Abyss.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lex took possession of the body and used it to conduct tests, hence why he would probably know that something like kryptonite would be able to harm Superman's body.

Zod could come back in a way to haunt Superman like how Ra's did with Bruce in TDKR.

How else will Lex test Kryptonite? Or what if they create the Cyborg Superman from Zod's body...or ever Eradicator? There's a lot of possibilities.

Justice League. I don't want MOS3 to have him fighting the same Kryptonians, but if they DID come back, it should be in a Justice League movie.

I do feel Zod has served his purpose. I mean, he's got nothing left to fight for. He even says so.

To have him in Lex' hands seems like the smart move. That will explain a lot as Lex pretty much needs to find kryptonite to be able to do much experiments on it (apart from the mystery of that Clark can get shaves and haircuts despite his indestructible hair).

I don't want Zod to come back either. He's played his part and Superman should now face villains that aren't copies of himself in terms of powers.

Zod has no purpose without his people. This Zod isn't a ruler, he's basically a Guardian that would do anything to preserve Krypton. Let him stay dead.

I was thinking that EXACT same thing:word: Would be pretty sweet to see that formed from Zod's body.

Let's give other villains a chance instead of reviving one that's already been done, twice.
