A rebooted Godzilla in America

I haven't seen any of the 90's Godzilla flicks, but I definitely agree that the 70's were not kind to Godzilla (except for the Mechagodzilla movies). I think that the millenial series was a high point for the francise, even though Final Wars was a big disappointment.

Terror of Mechagodzilla was the only Godzilla movie I enjoyed out of the 70's.

I think a Godzilla movie in the style of Peter Jackson's King Kong is the way to go IMO.

Well, an hour too long, the same old story, horrible and unnecessary secondary characters, bad acting, an awful lot of terrible "jokes," music that makes you think it's the best movie ever.

I'd say both have a lot in common about their styles.

Except that no girl fell in love with Godzilla, shared a fuchsia sunset with the monster while saying "beautiful" to each other. But I wouldn't recommend that, nor the excessive slow motion shots.

I wonder if this could become a motif for justification over the atom bombing of Hiroshima because Godzilla could be a symbolic curse from the actions the United States took.

Yup. I actually like this idea. Gives it more of a whoa feel, do to such an event.
