In the earlier seasons of the show it lost to whatever was popular at the time like Friends or Everybody Loves Raymond but it also didn't have much of a chance against the likes of Arrested Development, The Office and 30 Rock either. The closest shot it probably had was 2012 when Curb Season 8 lost to Modern Family Season 3. I forgot how much the Emmys awarded that show well after it was past its prime. I'm also partial to that season because Larry vs. Michael J. Fox is one of my favorite episodes. It’s absurd this show has never gotten Outstanding Comedy or any acting wins.
That five year stretch of Chuck Lorre leads winning Best Actor was so annoying. You had Larry nominated, Steve Carell, Alec Baldwin… and those basic ass shows were walking away with wins??Larry David not winning Best Actor in a Comedy is a bigger crime to me since he lost to both Jim Parsons and Jon Cryer.
Carell never winning for The Office is another travesty. That five year stretch of Chuck Lorre leads winning Best Actor was so annoying. You had Larry nominated, Steve Carell, Alec Baldwin… and those basic ass shows were walking away with wins??
Nonsense.
