I can't wait to watch this. DAMMIT, when I become a billionaire; I'm buying the rights to this and rebooting it into a 10 season series.

Was that girl at the very end of the episode who drew up the time machine blue prints supposed to be the grand daughter of the person they saved in North Korea?
I thought she was the girl at the science fair that Rufus talked to. I didn't get the thought that she was related to the woman the team saved in NK.
For me, this scene was to show that someone else would invent a time machine as Mason said, for the idea is "here".
Yeah I think it's her. Nothing to do with North Korea
It was the girl at the science fair but why can't it be both?
Satisfactory overall. Perhaps a bit too sentimental in spots - with the two main romances getting convenient happy endings. But, this is the series finale after all; so a certain amount of contrivance is to be expected I guess.
I do think, though, that there was too much story for the limited running time (and budget). For example, the two big villains (Emma and Jessica) were underused (they weren’t given much to do, and their respective exits felt sudden and perfunctory). Also, certain important action scenes (e.g., the helicopter crash in NK) occurred off screen and were then explained to the audience. (Again: either no time or no budget?)
I kinda wonder whether the gold rush story (hour 1) could have been largely excised. Then, with the extra time, fix the shortcomings described above...
...
The gold rush story was so that they could feature the guy who was the inspiration for Zorro. He would parallel Flynn's quest for vengeance and help him see that it didn't help. But I agree some scenes were rushed.
Well, the similarities between Garcia and “Zorro” weren’t that significant or compelling; I still say the gold rush plot could have been omitted. Now, obviously, certain crucial events occurred in the first hour. But I think they could have been incorporated into an expanded (i.e., 2 hour) North Korea plot.
I didn't find the North Korea plot all that interesting either. I wouldn't want them to expand that just for the sake of seeing the helicopter crash.
Same here. It got borderline ridiculous. She knew stuff that no one else knew. She was 1 heck of an academic lolI love how any event in world history is brought up, and Lucy immediately knows every detail about it, down to the exact day it happened. She doesn't even have to take a second to think about it.
