? The Ash Region Outbreak and the Collapse of the Fenrir Organization
In the near future, mysterious life forms called Aragami, which devour everything, devoured the majority of the world and led it to the brink of total collapse. The only hope to stand against that threat is a special military force known as God Eaters, who can use God Arcs, which are biomechanical hybrid weapons developed by biotechnology corporation Fenrir.
With the outbreak of the the unknown calamity that is the Ashlands, humanity fell into an unprecedented crisis.
The ash-like particles of the Ashlands drifting about the air continued to spread throughout the area immediately after its outbreak, deteriorating the structure and turning to ashes of anything they touched. The branches of Fenrir had no means of penetrating the Ashlands, and the leadership structure of Fenrir eventually collapsed.
The few that survived constructed underground bases that became widely known as ports, and produced soldiers known as Adaptive God Eaters, or AGE for short. Adaptive God Eaters have high resistance to the Ashlands, and continued to fight against the threat above the ground.
? New God Eaters: AGE
Adaptive God Eaters, otherwise known as AGE. These are new God Eaters produced following the outbreak of the Ashlands. Unlike previous God Eaters, they are tied to a slave-like contract, and are not given the freedom to do as they please.
Compared to God Eaters of the past, Adaptive God Eaters have a high resistance to the Ashlands, allowing them to go into those areas for an extended period of time. They have extremely high resonance and physical ability, and are said to be a closer in existence to Aragami.
While Adaptive God Eaters are given dangerous work such as going into the Ashlands, exploring, recovering materials, and defeating Aragami, their reward is extremely minimal.
? New Character
Hugo Pennywort (voiced by Tomokazu Seki)
An Adaptive God Eater that belongs to the port of Pennywort located in the Ashlands. He and the protagonist became Adaptive God Eaters at a very young age and grew up together. He has the ability to take action, is quick-witted, and is an essential leader among his comrades. An older brother-like character, he cares for his comrades, including the protagonist.
? Port Pennywort
Ports are home to a large number of Adaptive God Eaters. With a profit-first principle, its Adaptive God Eater loss rate is extremely high, as their dangerous main work consists of going into the Ashlands and defeating Aragami.
? Ashland Aragami, Otherwise Known as Ash Aragami
A new type of Aragami appeared with the outbreak of the Ashlands. Called by names such as the Aragami of Calamity, these Aragami are highly adaptive to the Ashlands. Unlike regular Aragami, they are believed to have a common configuration that is a counter adaptation factor contained in their core, which prevents from being devoured by the Ashlands. But that is still being researched.
Ash Aragami: Devours and Bursts
Ash Aragami have unique devour abilities, stimulate their own Oracle Cells, and can cause a phenomenon similar to a God Eaters Burst. Through this, Ash Aragami are able to rapidly increase its battle capabilities.
At the same time, they can dispossess a God Eaters resonance ability, which makes the God Eater completely unable to receive support such as Link Aid and Link Burst.
Anubis
A wild, god-like Aragami, akin to a ferocious beast covered in shining armor. Its overpowers its attack targets with its heavyweight armor. Anubis, who possesses considerable strength even among the Ash Aragami, can Burst to transition from walking on four legs to walking on two legs and completely change its attack pattern.
Ra
An Ash Aragami with a body that looks to fuse a birds head with a celestial globe and human. It carries fire balls in both hands and burns anyone who approaches it to ashes. It usually moves while floating along leisurely, but when it finds a target, it uses the boosters on its back to rush forward and swoop down on its enemy.
Ras devour ability changes the fire balls it carries in both hands into a devour form before throwing them at its target. When it enters the Burst state, all of its energy amplifies, it wears wings of fire, and it can fire even stronger flames.
? New God Arcs
Biting Edge
New, close-range type, dual-bladed God Arc parts. Its turnover rate is top class among all other close-range God Arcs, and by mode-changing into its mow-down form, its battle style also changes.
Biting Edge (Dual Blade Form)
In its dual blade form, the Biting Edge can attack quickly to catch the enemy off guard with slash attacks and thrusts. Also, each God Arc parts handles can be linked to transform into a dual-handed God Arc.
Biting Edge (Mow-Down Blade Form)
While stamina does not recover when the Biting Edge is in the mow-down blade form, things such as strike attacks from swings and jumps have a more powerful turnover rate than the dual-blade form, and are more wide-ranging. Because of this, it is important to properly switch between forms depending on the battle situation.
Ray Gun
A God Arc with that can fire a radiation shot, whose power increases the longer it radiates. As the weapon specializes in concentrated fire on the enemy while changing your positioning, it is possible to move while shooting the radiation shot.
Once the radiation shot stops firing, its power resets, so it is necessary make sure of the Aragamis openings and when to fire in order to master the weapon.
? New Systems

Since you can activate Accelerator Trigger any number of times by meeting those conditions, you can continue to activate it in order to continue fighting at an advantage.

- Effect: Increases close-range attack power for a fixed period of time
Engage
A new system that activates when teammates stay close to each other to grant various shared bonus effects. Your Engage Percentage will rise as you continue to fight within a certain range of your teammate, and you can activate Engage when this percentage reaches its maximum value.
The Engage Effect, which activates alongside the activation of an Engage, differs depending on the teammate, so it is extremely important to ascertain who you Engage with based on the battle situation.
