    Happy Halloween, Guest!

General Trek Talk Star Trek: Prodigy (Nickelodeon)

So, I watched the 2 part premier. So far, I am liking it. Definitely a kids show, along the lines of Camp Cretaceous. Animation is great.

God, episode 5, Kobayashi, uhhh, really punches the heart for long time fans.

Damn, those are Borg designs.

(Re: 1x16 "Preludes")

The story of why Jankom Pog refers to himself in the third person is hilarious.

Im a bit weary at the moment at how Janeway will be portrayed but nice to have a huge character be part of it.

I really don't think she's the greatest Captain if that CC(closed captain) said, what about Picard?

wow it was surprisingly good I cannot wait for season 2

Wonderful, Paramount is getting on the cancel and remove game.

At least the Star Trek stuff tends to get a physical release.

What is even the point of streaming?

I thought the point was to have an archive of all these products and have them in the same place to watch whenever you want.

It seems we should be going back to physical releases instead.

I can see either Amazon Prime or Netflix being among potential new buyers for Star Trek Prodigy.

Most likely Netflix, since they already have TMNT 2012 and a few other Nickelodeon related things on there.

I thought the point of streaming was companies wanted to own and sell all their own products directly. So, it sounds like to me that having a streaming service is irrelevant if they still need to sell products to other companies to make them profitable.

This kind of thing also only discourages people from bothering to watch a series just for it to get canceled then pulled from even being seen.

I'd blame HBO for it since they kicked it off but they just took a playbook from Disney's "vault" bull**** back when it was all physical.

I mean, didn't WWE and UFC technically do it first?

With the sad news of Star Trek: Prodigy being cancelled and removed from Paramount+ soon and with Season 2 in Post Production (without a network...).

I thought I’d do a Top 5of things I wanna see in Season 2 (when and if a new network picks it up) and what I want the future of Star Trek: Prodigy to be like:

5) Lower Decks and Prodigy crews meet!!!

Could make it a two parter with one episode having the animation style of Lower Decks and then the other could have Prodigy’s animation.

Imagine these two misfit crews meeting, the dynamic between Mariner and Dal, Zero and Boimler, Jankom and Rutherford, Rok-Tahk and Tendi would be fun alone!!!

4) USS Voyager A!!!

Best nice to finally meet this new Ship after the tease of the Voyager A’s shuttles in the Season 1 finale.

3) What are the Prodigy crew up to in the 25th Century? (Hopefully a cameo in Star Trek: Legacy when it’s picked up!!!)

After finally watching Star Trek: Prodigy and falling in love with the characters I’m wondering what they been up to since 2384 till 2401 (granted we will see them in Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2 which will be probably set in 2385). But be great to see what they up to now in the Trek “present” and with them also being pupils of Janeway see how they match up with Seven. Imagine the misadventures the crew of Prodigy and Legacy could have!!!

2) Gwyndala finding her people the Vau N’Akat and stopping their future fate.

Maybe have them join the Federation? Hell if the Xindi can become allies why not the Vau N’Akat?!

1) The fate of Chakotay!!!

We need him and his crew safe and sound back in their own time.

Gutted by Star Trek: Prodigy being cancelled?

Starfleet officers have a long history of choosing personal loyalty over following orders. I wonder if Prodigy was cancelled so that the rescue of Chakotay and his crew could become a Captain Seven season arc. There wouldn't have been opportunity for this turn of events until recently, when Star Trek started giving serious consideration to a Legacy series.

Rok-Tahk and Tendi would be the most cheerfully optimistic team-up ever.

Imagine Zero, paired with Mariner, repeatedly trying to get a word in and then sighing in resignation.

Most of all, I want to see how a team-up with Jankom would soon have Boimler wishing for the calm, quiet days of hanging around with Mariner.

First Look | Star Trek: Prodigy - Season 2, Episode 1

Man, this makes me want to watch the first season, but I can't. Prodigy is the Voyager reunion, with the Doctor returning. Like the uniform, has a cut similar to the LD uniforms, but less color on the striping and no white striping. The Voyager-A is great, with the slowed down Voyager theme for the ship porn shots. Lamarr class, nice. And sounds about as big as the Enterprise D.

Interesting that they mention the Romulan evacuation. And kind of convenient that the doctor is likely to be elsewhere when the synth ban happens. That bit of the timeline is a bit on my mind when thinking about Lower Decks and how they are slowly getting to that point in the timeline as well.

always nice to have Picardo back as the doctor he was always one of my fave characters on the show and one of my fave character actors in all of the stuff I seen him do specially in the Joe Dante films of my childhood.
