I could also see Pattinson staying on and the Reeves film receiving the Viking funeral. There’s a couple different ways this could go.

Not for the Gunn version of the character which will probably be closer to Adam West/Joel Schumacher than Nolan/Reeves.

Jeff Sneider doesn’t believe Matt Reeves is going to direct The Batman 2…at least not by himself. He said that Reeves’ issues are still unresolved and he can’t see him devoting the next two years of his life to the movie.

Box office analyst Jeff Bock went on the BO boys podcast and said he’s heard that this movie has had some really bad test screenings, fwiw.

It’s just for the talent to save face and not be publicly embarrassed. There’s no way Zaslav is coming back to this one.

I hope I’m wrong but I have a strong suspicion this is getting canceled next after Sgt Rock.

Clayface is next to get cancelled, imo. I think the DC slate is going through a reevaluation with Zaslav unwilling to spend major money on untested IP. I predict Peter Safran will be given control of the entire WB studio including DC. James Gunn will just focus on his own projects.

Jeff Sneider believes Matt Reeves will step down if the movie isn’t up and running in the next few months. He says WB executives are frustrated and there will be no more delays granted to him. WB needs the character back on the big screen since he’s the company’s most important asset.
