‘Mayor Of Kingstown’ (Taylor Sheridan's crime drama for Paramount+)

Mayor of Kingstown documents the high-stakes lives of the McLusky family, who are power brokers in the Kingstown area. The business of incarceration is the only thriving industry, so they must do what they can to stay afloat, alert, and alive. “Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality,” per Paramount+’s logline, “the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.”

Jeremy Renner leads the series alongside Dianne Wiest, Kyle Chandler, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, and Tobi Bamtefa.

Looks really good. It’s amazing how much more compelling Renner is when he’s not playing Hawkeye, lol.

He was good in Wind River also by Taylor Sheridan.

I also spotted Aidan 'Tell me about Bane!' 'Chaos is a ladder' Gillen who was in Sheridan's Those Who Wish Me Dead earlier this year as a villain.

Renner’s recovery has been so insane. If I suffered even 10% of the injury that he did, I would’ve gone sprinting into the bright light.

I'm so glad Showtime is airing the first two seasons. This show is fantastic! Renner is perfect and I love the gal playing Iris.
