the FIFA president fired a shot on NFL at the American soil! lol
I'd like to see the reaction of Tom Brady and Eli Manning (two NFL legends that also present at the event), when they hear him said that.😅

Ah.....I see he's addressing important international issues again.

Note to the president. There are a lot of countries that call the game "soccer" to distinguish it from rugby and other sorts of "football". The word comes from Association Football, so it kind of DOES make sense, but I'm guessing he doesn't know that. Since Canada, Australia, Japan, etc. etc. also call it soccer, perhaps we should impose tariffs until they see fit to call it football......oh, wait....we're already doing that. NVM.

Perhaps we should convene an international tribunal to root out this cancer in order to establish global harmony. SMFH.....

Fyi, we call it soccer among the popular term in general public....but the official term is still "football", thus our official national association is called JFA (Japan Football Association), not JSA.

There are people who called it "soccer" and there are people who called it "football", either way when talking about those 2 words, 100% people will attribute it to the sport game that takes place in a green grass field with 11 players against 11 players with one round ball that needs to be put inside the net by foot.

We called NFL here by "Amefuto" (Amerikan futtobōru)...American Football😁

Yeah.....that's what I heard. Never been to Japan, but it's somewhere I'd like to visit someday. LA is turning into a big fan of Japan (esp baseball fans LOL).

Daniel Jones might have just broke his leg or tore his ACL. Devastating. Hate it for him and the Colts.

Non contact injury so I'm thinking ACL.
They're saying it's Achilles. That really sucks for him and the Colts.
I really, really hate that. Jones was so pissed and I feel for him, but I think the Colts season is basically over. An achilles injury can be to the tendon or the connection from the tendon to the muscle, The latter heals really quickly and I'm hoping it's not the former.

Tough break and the Colts have really been bitten by the injury bug lately. It's the NFL and it happens, but it really sucks. I really feel for the guy and the team.

Glad I've got the ticket today. They aren't showing the GB-Bears game and I'm WAY more interested in that than I am Rams-Cards; even as a SoCal resident.

EDIT: I'd like to watch the Raiders-Denver game, but I'm afraid.....of losing my lunch.

I think the winner of tonights Texans/Chiefs game is getting that final playoff spot. A Texans win tonight would feed familes.

My Panthers got some help today with Tampa losing. Tied in the division with them with 4 games to go. I think it's gonna come down to that final game in Tampa.

A couple of teams (Saints and Browns) were pegged to pick QBs early in the 1st round. They still may, but I rather like both Shough and Sanders. They probably will go QB, but I think both of these guys could be good NFL QBs. The Saints need more than the Browns to be contenders, but they are also in a weaker division.

Really tough day; can only hope that Indy teams learn to stop letting their stars play through injuries. I think Leonard did decent enough for a debut no one planned on him making - if the final 4 weeks were a different schedule, I'd have hope we could hold on to the playoffs, but Seattle, San Fran + Texans and Jags again? I think it's fairly likely we don't win another game this season :csad:

Speaking of injuries, it's just genuinely insane that the Commanders rushed Daniels back in to play for a dead season, only to have him immediately hurt AGAIN. Mariota almost beat the Broncos for them last week, there was absolutely no excuse to put Daniels back on the field like that. They're treating him like Indy treated Luck, and that really hurts to watch - everyone who cleared it should get the axe.

I still think the Chiefs have a shot at the playoffs. This is all of course if the Chargers lose tonight. If they win, then it's over. They'd need either the Chargers, Texans or Bills to lose 3 of 4.

The Chargers have the worst schedule of those 3. A loss tonight could make things interesting. Next weeks Chargers/Chiefs game could be huge.

Also, if Denver pulls ahead of New England for the #1 seed and they clinch it a week early, they could rest players for that final game against the Chargers. That could be huge as well for Los Angeles to get in.

Team building malpractice going on over there in Kanas City. You've got that guy at QB, and you don't surround him with that? The OL injuries are unfortunate, nothing you can do, but the pass catchers? What a joke.

Denver and LA both have pretty murderous schedules. NE has some tough games, but much the easier schedule. I don't see Denver clinching the #1 seed early and probably not at all. Of course it's "possible" the Chiefs get in, but they are:

Tied with the Ravens and Dolphins
2 behind the Texans
2 behind the Colts (who are fading)
2 or 3 behind the Chargers
3 behind the Bills

That means they have to overtake 2 of those teams they are 2 or 3 games behind while also beating out Miami and the Ravens. They also have a couple of tough games coming up (and a couple against 2 win teams....) and one, single misstep is doom.

I'd say if they reran this scenario 10 times, they make the playoffs maybe once and, as a Raider fan, I'm glad to see it so my vision may be jaded....

What a difference a day makes....

Now the Jets are in definite danger of missing out on one of the consensus top 3 QBs and they probably need one even more than the Saints, Browns, and maybe even, the Raiders.

Crazy how things turned yesterday. I did not see that Saints/Bucs score coming and really thought the Browns would take care of Tennessee. I didn't see the Raiders playing the Broncs that tough and am not at all sold on Denver. Their D is great, but they're in way too many close games against inferior opponents. Ya never know what's gonna happen, but I'd definitely give NE a leg up on them, but I'm always wrong so there's that too.....

They are actually 3 games behind the Texans now because of the head to head. If the Texans, Jaguars and Bills win next Sunday, KC can't pass them in the standings. The Colts are pretty much irrelevant at this point unless they find a way to win 3 games.

The Chargers are the team that KC can pass and it all starts tonight. If LA beats Philly, then KC pretty much needs to win out and hope LA loses 3 of 4(which given their schedule is a real possibility). IOf Philly beats LA, then that game in Arrowhead the following week is monumental for both teams.

Given the Ravens and Dolphins schedule, I don't see the tiebreakers really coming into play unless the Chargers collapse.

I honestly hope the Chiefs miss the playoffs, but I'm not gonna celebrate too much just yet untill I see that E next to their name.

I agree WRT not celebrating just yet, but a lot of things have to fall right for the Chiefs to make the playoffs and the Ravens and Miami "might" factor into it. There are just a whole lotta "mights" out there and they all add up to a very narrow path for the Chiefs.
