Great to see some different names winning races. F1 will be better when multiple teams are competitive.Oscar Piastri wins his first race in Formula One by winning the Hungarian GP 2024. His teammate Lando Norris finished second while Lewis Hamilton finished third.
100%. I think McLaren will win the Constructors' Championship.Max and Red Bull are at top of the standings. Do you see this lead change after the summer break?

Only way Lando would have a real chance is if we get some retirements from Max. I hope Lando has a chance in future at least, but as you say not a good sign for him. In a future season a move like that could cost him the championship.100%. I think McLaren will win the Constructors' Championship.
Under different circumstances I would say Lando has a shot at the championship... that being said McLaren does not have faith in him IMO. As much as think Oscar deserved the Hungaroring victory, Lando is (was) fighting for the championship. Asking (begging!!) your no. 1 driver to give up 7 points is a vote of no confidence. They're not taking the Drivers' Championship seriously.
So Max wins again!
Yeah, this year's championship has been fun. Come race weekend, you just don't know who's going to win, regardless of the qualy results.
I don't think we will see enough retirements from Max in the remainder of the season and he will win the drivers championship with a couple of races to spare. It’s attracted me back to the sport. I wish F1 was always like this. I don’t want any car to dominate for years on end, and let the best drivers duke it out.
Yeah, wasn’t saying it was likely to happen at all, just that that was Lando’s only chance. It’s a shame more weight isn’t given to the constructor’s championship - I like the team aspect. Could be even better if the teams could afford to put out 3 cars each for some proper chaos and team strategy.I don't think we will see enough retirements from Max in the remainder of the season and he will win the drivers championship with a couple of races to spare. Two back to back amazing performances by Leclerc![]()

Leclerc beats Piastri and Norris. F1 is as competitive and unpredictable right now as I can ever remember.
Yep, got to help out your guy going for the title when your 2 drivers are in consecutive positions.I've said it before and I’ll say it again: McLaren is not taking the WDC seriously. The whole situation is baffling honestly. Clown team.
Exactly. And to be fair I don't even blame Piastri on this one, dude's a racing driver. McLaren gave him the ok so he went for it. And Lando needs to be more aggressive. People don't try that stuff with Verstappen because they know he's a low-key madman. But Lando just lets people slide.Yep, got to help out your guy going for the title when your 2 drivers are in consecutive positions.
It’s super dumb as you say. If the momentum stays, the title could come down to the difference between letting Lando get second here and not.Exactly. Still, silly behavior from McLaren. RBR is falling off a cliff right now. Why not give Lando all the points he can possibly score? Again, baffling. If they keep fumbling the bag with the WDC I'll be seriously rooting for RBR to win the constructors championship too.
But yeah, this was an incredibly fun race. Leclerc deserved this one. As you said, competitive and unpredictable. As it should be!
They are mathematically in the race but it would be nearly impossible to go past McLaren. They are very likely to finish second in the WCC this year. With five races to go, as a Ferrari fan, I would love to see Ferrari win the Constructors' Championship, but it still feels far away.
