🏎️ Formula One

Repeat of Spa 2014. Mercs collide and it results in the best race in ages.

True Wise, true. :funny:

Judged a racing incident. No penalties.

Does Vettel love finishing 3rd? Even when both Hamilton and Rosberg crash out he's fine with 3rd lol. And congrats to Verstappen, didn't realise he was only 18.

Vettel and Riccardo have to be pissed. Both could have easily won the race if not for the stupid strategies they were given. I couldn't believe they stopped Vettel when they did. Screwed him.

Yep I'm sure they are. Bet Verstappen can't believe his luck. You have to take advantage when the opportunity presents itself and he's done it when all these other things coincidentally happened at the same time. Can't imagine winning a grand prix at that age, something to impress your school mates with lol.

Max did exactly what you are suppose to do. Kimi isn't what he use to be, but Max keeping him behind him was class.

Yep. Wonder how he will be getting on in about 6 years or so.

Hamilton beats Ricciardo at the Monaco GP. Rosberg 7th.

Hamilton wins in Canada to close the gap at the top to 9 points.

Another collision at the Austrian GP between Rosberg and Hamilton. Just can't keep these guys apart lol. Toto Wolff fuming and even talking about team orders!

Hamilton wins another British Grand Prix. Rosberg gets booed on the podium which is unfortunate.

I recorded it and haven't seen it yet. Good race? No collisions at least? Lol

Seen it now. Can’t believe there is only one point in the title race! Hopefully the rest of the season from here progresses with good spirit and good sportsmanship and may the best driver win a very close battle!

Hamilton wins in Hungary to take a 6 point lead in the championship.

Been watching quite a few races this year but unfortunately it just feels so dead. Hamilton is going to win it. He's better than Rosberg, and Rosberg continues to do silly mistakes because of the rivalry with Hamilton. There's no other car that can rival Mercedes either, so it's a shame that it's not tighter.

Now that Hamilton is in the lead overall, the rest of the season probably won't be that exciting. I thought with Nico building up a margin after his great early start that we might see an eventful championship but I can see Lewis gradually pulling away here. Like you say Rosberg lets this rivalry upset him and make mistakes he probably wouldn't otherwise make. And the other constructors are taking too long to close the gap on Mercedes.

4th from Rosberg. I think he already knows he's not going to win this year. He needs an 80 point headstart before he would be confident lol. The psychological edge is clear. Hamilton in comparison was so chilled out despite such a terrible start to the season.

Hamilton is really impressive because he makes it look so easy. Rosberg chokes with these things that you shouldn't screw up, like having pole position and getting passed by 2 or 3 cars at the start, something that has happened several times now.

He does show quality and I think in the future he could win a year, but I think there are better drivers who are in worse cars, and the fact that Rosberg is #2 speaks more to how superior Mercedes has been than Rosberg himself IMO.

I'd like to see Vettel and Hamilton in the same car. Rosberg is currently mentally weak.
Never been a huge fan of Hamilton based on some stupid whiny comments in the past, but he really looks to have matured and I'm liking him more and more.

This season is when I've been most impressed by Hamilton and really thought Rosberg doesn't have the nerve to be champion. There are certainly some top drivers in weak cars who could give Hamilton a much better test if they were in Rosberg's position. I'm sure Mercedes' advantage won't last forever though and it will be very interesting when one of the others catches up.

Yeah would be interesting to see how a Vettel or Alonso would do in a Mercedes. Both of those have the nerve of a champion in crucial moments as they have proved in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if Rosberg never wins a title. And once the Mercedes advantage is diminished in future years, or if he has to change team then absolutely no chance (unless of coure he improves massively).

Belgian Grand Prix results: 1.Rosberg 2.Ricciardo 3. Hamilton

Impressive from Hamilton as he started from the back after picking up engine penalties.
