🥇Paris 2024 Summer Olympics

Japan starts the Olympic campaign with soccer and we won 5-0 against Paraguay!!
(Paraguay down to 10 men at the first half)

Good start and hope we can keep the momentum for the rest of the group stage!

And tonight we will face Spain for the women's soccer group match.

Hope the best...Lets Go!!

16th minutes in...we're up 1-0 against world champion, Spain!

#Women'sSoccer

Full time...Spain 2 Japan 1

A disappointing result but very enjoyed the game...it was an entertaining game.

Quite late here (almost 2 AM) but still waiting for the opening ceremony

Heard that the athlete parade will be different in this Olympics as they will across the Seine river by boat instead the usual indoor stadium parade

The new Harley Quinn on the stage!😃

#Gaga

Japan contingent will appear on 93th order

Why some countries are on the small boat while most of the rest are on the bigger boat?😅

Amount of athletes. :funny:

Very cool idea. It's a very distinct visual. Really enjoying the opening ceremony so far.

Really impressed with that masked parkour individual....he or she is like a straight up Assassins Creed character jumping from rooftop to rooftop

Gotta say...as unique the idea of having each nation representatives on the boat...but I don't know why, it got underwhelmed so quickly because they are so fast moving and all over the place.

With one boat carrying 2 or 3 nations, we barely cherish and take a good look on each nation parade before the camera pass on to the next nation. With Japan, I think they are only showing them less than 5 seconds🙄

Hope in LA28, the parade will be held inside the stadium again.

I'm going to watch/rewatch after work. A shame it wasn't on a bit later as I got busy at the wrong time.

This is way too much 90s techno party for me right now :woozy:

This opening ceremony was excessively long and drawn out. Aren't all the other ceremonies about half the length of this one? There were too many interruptions with other distractions sidetracking from what could've been a much simpler process.

I don't understand why the USA boat didn't blast this

RIP to all the swimmers who actualy swim in the river this year...

An intense match between Japan vs Germany in the men's volleyball group match.

Currently we lead 2-1 and now in the 4th set, Germany lead 19-18

Wow...24-24 now!!

28-27!!

One more....come on!!!

Oh well...Germany took set 4 30-28...its 2-2 now

Here comes the 5th and deciding set!

Oh well.. Germany took the 5th set and won the game 3-2!

Hopefully the men's basketball game tonight (we face Germany again) will provide more good result for us

Move on into diving and swimming venue now 😚

I’m off to my parents’ house and should be able to watch quite a bit of the Olympics this weekend.

Bacon and Cook are USA's women diving syncro team. Should've had pink pig costumes to dive in.

Yeah...I just watched that event (which won gold for China, silver for USA and bronze for Great Britain)

Unfortunately for the Aussie duo for the botched move on the last dive, though

Btw, China already got 2 gold medals on the first day 😬😬

I am just waiting for our first medal, haha...

Arent the top3 not always USA, China, Host? Expected :woozy:
Im curious if Germany can reach 40+ medals in total again or stuck in 30s.

Looking forward for Swimming, Canoe Rafting and Decathlon. 🤗
