Also, remind people that a good 15 minutes, doesn't mean 1-2 word answers. Not telling people to write a novel, but at least be interesting.

Still not at home, but had some pre-answered questions saved, so I will answer other questions (including remake) as soon as I get home.

Where do you see yourself and what do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?

As far as a job/career goes, I really don't know, I really enjoy my job right now, but I just don't know how much upward mobility there is for me in the long run. I've been married for two years now. Hopefully in ten years I will have one-two kids, with the oldest being eight or so, but we'll see.

What's the origin of your name?

I was a freshman in college. I had just seen Donnie Darko a few months earlier. Like most people at that time, I thought it was just the coolest thing ever, and thought I was so much cooler than my friends and family who had never seen or heard of it. I haven't watched it in years. I need to watch it again some time soon.

What is your first name?

It 's not actually my first name, but people generally know me as/call me Drew.[/B]

Who do you feel closest to here on the Hype?

For the vast majority of my time here, I was never really "close" with anyone in particular. However, in recent months, there is a certain group of degenerates and troublemakers that includes DirtyHarry, Rodrigo90, DarkRaven, NickNitro, and others that have been fun to "hang out" with online. I also like the guys over in the Wrestling Thread.

If you were to meet any Hypester in real life, who would it be and what would you do?

Rodrigo90, in hopes that I could meet these family members he speaks so highly of.

Where is home for you? Where would you like home to be?

Home is in Raleigh, NC with my wife. I also consider Chapel Hill (where I went to college), Durham (where I grew up), and Lenoir (where the in-laws live) to be "home" for me as well. Basically, home is where my family and friends are.

List 15 superheroes you really enjoy

Man, I really don't read as many comics as I used to or would like to (I actually only read like three series right now because of finances), but...
Batman
Spider-Man
Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)
Flash (Wally West)
Wolverine
Red Robin (give him a book again!)
Invincible
Dick Grayson (loved him as Batman, wish that could have lasted longer)
Robin (Damian Wayne, hate that he is gone)
Guy Gardner
AoA Sabretooth (a favorite as a kid)
Deadpool
Cable
Rogue
Daredevil

List 30 movies you wish to see

I'll go with movies that either do not exist or just have not been filmed yet (even though some may be really bad)...
Green Arrow: Supermax
Batman/Superman (early 90s, starring Keaton and Reeve)
Justice League: Mortal (with the original cast)
Kevin Smith's Fletch Won (starring pre-Earl Jason Lee)
Spike (I remember Whedon had this rumored for a while)
Serenity 2
James Cameron's early 90s X-Men
True Lies 2
Incredibles 2
Superman Returns sequel
Superman Lives (Burton, Cage, Smith, hilarity)
Deadpool
Burton's Batman 3
Schumacher's Batman: Triumphant
Ghostbusters 3
a Charlemagne biopic
Bearricane (if SyFy can make Sharknado, they can make Bearricane)
Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay
Invisible Monsters
Survivor
Army of Two
Legend of Zelda (preferably Peter Jackson)
Invincible
Raimi's Spider-Man 4
Singer's X-Men 3
The Dark Knight Returns live action
Goyer's Flash starring Ryan Reynolds
Whedon's Wonder Woman
Voltron (but not with the leaked plot from a few years back)
Space Mountain (I love Disney, and I know they keep saying a movie is going to be made, but I want to see it happen)

I really don't have a whole lot of free time, but I enjoy reading (novels and comics), watching movies, the Washington Redskins, the UNC Tar Heels, going to the gym, watching lots and lots of TV, etc. I did pretty much every sport that was available to me at some point in my life. The big ones were playing football for ten years, wrestling for about seven years (and later coaching), and cheerleading in college (a girl I know talked me into it and it actually ended up being really fun and how I met a lot of my best friend, and it's either directly or indirectly responsible for my last three girlfriends and my wife).

If you were to meet any Hypester in real life, who would it be and what would you do?

Rodrigo90, in hopes that I could meet these family members he speaks so highly of.
Rodrigo is pretty popular it seems
Hope he can join the 15 Minutes, I'm sure his thread will be interesting

Those are interesting choices, I'd wish to see them as well
James Cameron spoke of an X-Men movie? When? What was his proposed plot?

If we're buying what are you having?

What 3 DVD's would you bring to a deserted island?

What's in your playlist?

What is your most embarrassing moment?

Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?

Donnie Darko's assigned Movie to remake is...Southland Tales!

I've never seen it, but since The Rock and Sarah Michelle Gellar are in it, I would remake it as a 2-hour love scene starring those two, along with SMG's Buffy castmates Charisma Carpenter and Eliza Dushku.

Donnie, I didn't get you movie, could you explain it to me?

It's been so long since I've seen it that I can't even remember ALL of what went down in it (I've been meaning to rewatch for like a year). However, I do believe that the true message of the story that Patrick Swayze is awesome, even as a pedophile.

Really, the more I think about it, especially now that I have heard opinions of Southland Tales and had the misfortune of seeing The Box, I feel like there really isn't as much to "get" about Donnie Darko as Richard Kelly would like for us to believe. I loved the movie, but if The Box is any indication, Kelly may have just been really lucky with Donnie Darko.

James Cameron spoke of an X-Men movie? When? What was his proposed plot?

I'm not sure if that is definitely something that happened. I just know there is some thread about it on the Hype somewhere. I really don't know if Cameron was ever involved like he was with Spider-Man or anything. But yeah, Cameron making an X-Men movie in the early/mid 90s starring the actors from the Wizard magazine casting call, would have been fantastic.

If we're buying what are you having?

What 3 DVD's would you bring to a deserted island?

Well, assuming I can only choose individual movies instead of box sets (and there is actually a TV, DVD player, and electricity), my three would be...
1. The Goonies
2. The Monster Squad
3a. If my wife knows what movies I am taking... one of the Lord of the Rings extended cut DVDs. Between the movie and all of the extra features, it would give me the most material to watch.
3b. If my wife doesn't know/won't find out... something with Jenna Haze... It's lonely on that island.

What's in your playlist?

A lot of different, random stuff including George Michael, Linkin Park, Kid Rock, Carrie Underwood, Nate Dogg, Journey, and lots of other stuff.

What is your most embarrassing moment?

You know, there is honestly nothing that really stands out. I mean, I'm sure I have been embarrassed about things before, but I guess at this point in my life, whatever I was embarrassed about just doesn't matter any more. It was probably something about asking out a girl that I thought was interested, but totally wasn't.

Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?

Because Seth Rogen likes my girlfriend's boobs.

I have never seen that Punisher movie. It's one of those that I meant to watch for years and never did. I actually enjoyed War Zone, though, which seems to be an unpopular opinion.

Why the Redskins and not the Panthers?

Why the Redskins and not the Panthers?

I was already a Redskins fan before the Panthers came about (although I was still young enough; I think I was in elementary school when they started up). Redskins were the "local market" team before that (although they are by no means the most popular team among people I know). I guess the two Super Bowls when I was a small child helped.

My brothers and all actually all have different teams: Bears, 49ers, Redskins and Dolphins.

Why are you awake so late/up so early?

Describe to me the very first thought that comes to your mind when I say tell me about the most interesting thing you can think of.

Speaking of James Cameron CBMs would you have liked to see his Spider-Man version with Arnold as much as I would have?

Rodrigo's mother is pretty popular it seems
Hope he can join the 15 Minutes, I'm sure his thread will be interesting

Fixed. :cwink:

Here's my question:

What does your wife think of your interest in comics and comic book movies?

Here's my question:

What does your wife think of your interest in comics and comic book movies?

She's ok with it, even supports it sometimes. She just makes sure I don't blow our budget on it. The first year we were together, one of her birthday presents for me was Green Lantern: First Flight on bluray (she even watched it with me that night). Since then, she has bought me Green Lantern on bluray, Arkham City GOTY edition for PS3, Marvel Comics: The Untold Story, and the Marvel Comics Encyclopedia for different birthdays and Christmas gifts.

So basically, as long as I don't spend too much money, she's cool with it.

If we're buying what are you having?

I just realized I missed this part of the question. Since this usually comes up at a bar, I'll take something fairly cheap. Get me a Coors Light, unless something better happens to be on special for a similar price (preferably a fall seasonal beer).

Whats up DD!

How long have you been reading comics?

If you had to live out on movie/TV characters life who would it be?

Whats your favorite late night snack

Just saw the movie inspiring your username
Interesting movie, you might want to watch it again

I've honestly been reading comics for about as long as I can remember. I know I started early in elementary school, with stuff like Spider-Man and X-books. I remember buying X-Factor issues in the convenient store next to my grandparents pizza restaurant way back when. I think first collecting some of the Marvel trading cards and action figures first may have led me to be a Marvel kid instead of DC.

Hmmm... Over the last few months, I've gotten into (2005 series) Doctor Who (almost caught up with everything they have on Netflix, but I had taken a break from it to binge on Breaking Bad). I know the Doctor's life can be tragic and really intense, but it looks like a hell of a ride. Also, traveling through time and space with Billie Piper and Karen Gillan can't be the worst thing in the world.

Usually, the only time I am really eating too late at night is after drinking, so something greasy and terrible for you... like pizza or fast food.

Favorite sitcom?

Fan of Breaking Bad?

Worst TV series you can remember? What's wrong with it?

Is Adrian Monk the greatest detective or what?

There are so many sitcoms I have loved. Currently, I would say that Parks and Recreation is consistently the best.

I only recently got into Breaking Bad. I caught up with it through Netflix and OnDemand and I loved it. It's one if those shows that just sinks its teeth into you and doesn't let you go. I caught up a few weeks back, so I was able to watch the last three episodes the night they aired. It was rough to go from watchin multiple episodes a day to having to wait a full week in between.

I'm sure it's not the worst ever, but I just can't understand how 2 Broke Girls is popular. From what little bit I have seen, it's nothing but stereotypes and girls talking about sex and vaginas ("so edgy!!!!"). It's like it was written by a group of 12 year old boys, and not smart 12 year old boys.

Monk is good, but I prefer Shawn Spencer.
