Funny, I’ve talked with a friend on another forum about what I’d do to remake this quite recently.

I’d start by dumping The Penguin. I know a lot of people enjoy DeVito’s performance but I feel that the character himself wasn’t terribly interesting. I’d replace him with Killer Croc. Not a terribly interesting villain either (though the recent issue of Batwoman focusing on him was quite good) but he’d be a pawn for the main villain in the end. For the most part, he can keep Penguin’s origin. Just remove the raised by Penguins bit and have him rescued by the circus when he was younger, only to retreat back into the sewers years later after being sick of being just something for people to laugh at. He would still have the plan to kill the first borns of Gotham but I’d dump the countless other Penguin plots like penguins with rockets on their backs marching through the city.

I mentioned he’d be a pawn of the main villain so here’s who that would be: Max Shreck. Honestly, to me, he was by far the best part of the film. Probably because of Walken though. So, he has the same plot as he did prior but he’d have more of a central role in the story instead of focusing on the Penguin.

With Catwoman, I’d change up some of her dialogue that bothered me, tone down the cat things (ex. Trying to eat the bird), I’d make sure to have a shot of a gymnastics and martial arts trophies of some kind in her apartment so that there’s some history there for her to have the skills as Catwoman, and I’d drop her out a lower window so it didn’t come off like she died and got brought back to life by cats, instead just being woken up by them.

This is just off the top of my head, I’d need to rewatch it and take bullet points to cover it all.

Hopefully, if all goes well, working on a film in some capacity, either making a low budget one or doing some kind of crew work on another one.

What is your first name?

Mykayla.

Who do you feel closest to here on the Hype?

I haven’t really spoken to anyone enough that I’d call us close. Most of my interaction is just talking about the films and characters themselves on the forums. But, I suppose I’d say BatLobsterRises. We’ve had some interesting discussions in the TDKR section before.

If you were to meet any Hypester in real life, who would it be and what would you do?

Anita18. I’d just want to talk to her. She seems like she’d be interesting to talk to.

Where is home for you? Where would you like home to be?

Online. I'd rather it be somewhere physical but I'm kinda awkward off the internet.

Batman, films, writing and comics in general mostly. Film especially is something I spend a lot of time on. Watching films, reading about their history and development, reading analysis, listening to interviews and I’ve done a bit of writing of my own on a few of them as well as written a few scripts for fun.

Are you Gotham's dark knight or white knight?

Dark Knight.

Do you think having a color is important for a Gotham knight?

Absolutely. I was just talking to the Pink Knight the other day.

What would you enjoy more, being the hero or the villain?

Hero. You have a better chance of winning.

If you were to run into Catwoman in a party, what would you say to take her home?

“How about I show you my Batcave?”

What's your favorite drink?

Lemonade.

What's your favorite stand up comedian and why?

George Carlin. I love the man’s humour. I’m a big fan of political and religious humour and I think he does it the best.

Star Trek Into Darkness or Man of Steel?

Do you think that age is in your head, like in if you think young, you'll be young? Or you'll just be a delusional old fart?

Do you like minty lemonade?

How many times can they kill Professor X to the point of no return?

What novels do you love? What movies based on novels do you love?

Do you like minty lemonade?

Nope.

How many times can they kill Professor X to the point of no return?

As long as bringing him back and killing him sells issues, they can go forever.

What novels do you love? What movies based on novels do you love?

My favourite novels are Red Dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, The Prestige and The Perks of Being a Wallflower. For film adaptations, my favourites are The Shining, Fight Club, Eyes Wide Shut, The Silence of the Lambs, The Prestige, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Dr. Strangelove: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, A Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, Full Metal Jacket, Lolita (Kubrick's). I'd include Blade Runner and 2001: A Space Odyssey but those were based on short stories, if I remember correctly, and not full novels.

Are you a gamer?

Favourite YouTubers?

Why aren't you on Twitter more often? :p

And... I still can't believe you're 15.

Are you a gamer?

Not really. The only games I play are Arkham Asylum, Arkham City (and I will play Origins and future installments), Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario Bros, New Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Favourite YouTubers?

Geekvolution, JeremyJahns, ChrisStuckmann, SchmoesKnow, ShadesAtKnight and Flickpick.

Why aren't you on Twitter more often? :p

I just usually don't use social networking. I only have a twitter in case I need it for something, really.

And... I still can't believe you're 15.

Believe it. :p

Glad I handed you Batman Returns, that remake is interesting, and I'd definitely care to watch it more than the one we got

If you get to write a movie script, would you prefer to make something original or use a source material first?

What comic book do you think you can write a good movie about?

What novel(s) do you think you can turn to a good movie script?

Least favorite Batman costume?

Prometheus, disappointing or pleasant?

Favorite Stanley Kubrick movie?
Do you like minty lemonade?

Nope.
Fine, I ain't making you any :D

Believe it. :p
I thought you're in your mid 20s

Thank you.

If you get to write a movie script, would you prefer to make something original or use a source material first?

I'd rather do source material but I think it'd be best to do something original first to try and gain trust with a studio first before asking for one of their franchises.

What comic book do you think you can write a good movie about?

Batman.

What novel(s) do you think you can turn to a good movie script?

Honestly, I don't think I'd be able to do a straight adaptation. I'd have issues cutting scenes and then merging scenes and making various changes. I just don't think I could do that.

Least favorite Batman costume?

On screen? Clooney's anti-freeze suit. In comics? Probably Rainbow Batman.

Prometheus, disappointing or pleasant?

I liked it. Not perfect but I felt people were too hard on it.

Favorite Stanley Kubrick movie?

The Shining.

I thought you're in your mid 20s

Nope.

Replies in bold.

Understanding you joined this site when you were 14?

After seeing Batman, the Dark Knight, Dark Knight Detective, probably Bruce Wayne already taken, couldn't you know have given up and chosen a different username?

No. I joined a bit after I turned 15.

I actually didn't try those usernames to begin with, nor did I see most of them before signing up. I just used the title to one of my scripts and added "'s" to Gotham and got rid of the "s" at the end of Knights.

Why did you join the hype?

I had lurked for a while and it seemed like a nice place but what finally made me sign up was when I saw this post I absolutely loved from The Joker and wanted to say he did a really great job on it.

What post?

What post?

I spent the last 30 minutes looking for it but I can't find it anymore. It was this long post about the Joker when someone said (I believe) that Ledger's Joker was nothing like the Joker.

I never really feel that way. I may always enjoy their performance, but it doesn't make me like the film just because they're in it. One that comes to mind for that though is Benedict Cumberbatch. He's always enjoyable for me.

I'll be sure to come back to this one in the morning. It's almost 2 in the morning here so I can't really get a good picture due to light.

What are your thoughts on the "Butterfly Effect"?

Haven't seen it.

Tell us about a weird dream you had, and don't have a problem sharing

I was having a dream that I was eating a giant marshmallow. Then I woke up, and I found out I had eaten my pillow.

.....I may have just watched too much A Very Potter Musical the night before.

I usually don't dream in general though, so I don't have a large selection.

What languages do you find interesting and have some desire to learn?

German, French (I speak basic French but I wouldn't mind being fluent...if I wasn't so bad at it) and Spanish (same as French).

3D theater: Yes or no?

No. I don't like wearing two pairs of glasses. My nose isn't long enough and the 3D pair constantly slips. On top of that, majority of them are just conversions that don't add anything. Oh, and my theater only plays 3D IMAX when it's an option. That really irritates me since IMAX is my favourite format.

More into Star Wars or Star Trek?

Star Wars.

What if Episode VII has too many flashbacks?

Depends what the flashbacks were. If they filled in the gap between Return of the Jedi and Episode VII, then I don't mind more flashbacks. If they just flashback to the original films...just no.

Would you rather remake The Dark Knight Rises to improve it or Spider-Man 3? Who would you consider replacing (actor or character) in both movies?

Spider-Man 3 definitely.

In SM3, I'd get rid of Venom. Keep Brock, keep the symbiote, but leave Venom as a stinger. And I'd get rid of Gwen. And that butler. And recast MaGuire and Dunst. I really can't stand either of them. Not too sure who I'd replace them with though. And I'd recast Eddie Brock as Aaron Paul (Jessie from Breaking Bad).

In TDKR, I'm pretty much fine with all the characters and actors used. Not too sure who I'd replace.

How do you define a loser?

Me.

Is sanity standard or is it in the eye of the beholder?

There's definitely a standard that society has created for insanity (at least in law), so whatever falls outside that must be sanity. So, I'd say that, in the eyes of the law, yes. I don't think I'm informed enough to say in regards to medical terms though.

What might give you a reason to bump your head into the wall?

Accidently offending a friend.

Any director you wish to direct a specific comic book movie? What character? And Why?

David Fincher on Batman: The Black Mirror. Think of an adaptation of The Black Mirror in the style of Se7en, Zodiac or The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I just think that's just the perfect match, visually, tonally and I think he's a very talented director.

LEGO constructions or Jigsaw Puzzles? Which is more fun to do?

LEGO. I have fond memories of them and just prefer the 3D building rather than just an image.
