"I want to be upfront with any men I meet and tell them straight away about my condition... If they run at the mention of MRKH then I don’t want to be intimate with them."
Not to be crass but... without the parts, you can't really be intimate with someone, in the biblical sense. This is a difficult subject and it's not clear if she had any surgical procedures to correct the defect but the implication is she hadn't.

Well, there are other ways to have sex that don't involve the use of a Vagina. :o

Damn, I'm curious as to how she didn't realize this by the time she was 13 or 14. How do you not know?

I think I know how that happened, but I can't think of a way of expressing it tastefully.

We need to page the Hype's chief science officer Anita to explain this. Someone ping her on her tricorder!

Well, from what I understand of MRKH, from the outside, she looks like any other girl. Labia, Clitoris, etc. It's whats on the inside that's missing. Still, after not having had a period yet by 17, yeah, she shoulda went and saw somebody.

I don't care what you have. There is some guy out there who is totally into women with this. She can adopt and hopefully live a happy life.

The obvious joke is, "she can't get pregnant? Awesome!" but that's akin to one of us dudes not having semen or testes or something. Even if we never wanted kids, the fact that we don't even have the option is what's ****ed.

There are but I didn't bring that up because...

Ones that give the guy pleasure, sure....she might be out of luck.

So, yeah. For her it's a bad deal. I don't know the specifics of how her condition works but it's one of those that doesn't sound fair to her (on top of all the other inequalities that go with being female).

If she can still get pleasure from sex and so can her partner, then she will live a normal life after she has a revelation that she can lead a normal life if she chooses. Not to minimize this but people with greater adversity live fuller lives than I do. Not having kids shouldn't ruin anyone's life in this day and age. Go adopt!

Also, why the fug would she want her name and identity in the media? Is that her coping mechanism?

Oh, big deal. I figured out I was born without a vagina a long time ago.

Granted, I'm male, but still..... :o

I better check myself soon... I'm already 18...

If you find one, your Hype screenname is going to become mighty irrelevant. Just sayin'. :o

A women also had this condition on Channel 4's always gross reality medical show Embarrassing Bodies.

Women who suffer from MRKH syndrome still develop fully functional clitorises, and since most women orgasm through clitoral stimulation...
If it's fully functional then she probably will be able to enjoy a mostly normal sex life. The article didn't go into detail about all the functionality, like if it was there but not "connected" as it were.

Are we offending your delicate 15 year old sensibilities, moose? :o
