3 yr old Girl taken off flight for crying too much

it sounds like the MOM was real person who deserved the boot!

(bad parenting)

"non-compliant"?

she's 3!.....3 people!
I mean, I can't stand loud kids as much as the next guy but...c'mon!

3!!!

When I was 3 I had a job where I worked 52 hours a week and it was 20 miles from my house. Since I couldn't drive I had to walk and I lived in Alaska and it was cold and snow was everywhere.:o

That would only be acceptable if they burned the parents as well, if you're going to send a meassage don't do it half assed.

Only the father. I want the horrified shrieks of the mother and the crippling grief on her face to be heard and seen by all those who should heed this warning.

Geez, "non-compliant" simply means not following instructions, particularly the one where the mom was asking her to get into her seat (then again, had my kid done that at 3, I would have picked her up and PUT her in the seat).

And I don't care how old the kid is, you don't hold the plane up for ANYONE.

Well when you add that kind of reasoning then I guess I can agree with you.

PUT THE CHILD IN IT'S SEAT...YOU HAVE 10 SECONDS TO COMPLY.

I'd take the free ticket to anywhere first and then I'd never fly with them again ;)

crying kids do deserved to be removed from the plane, because if the parents cant control them, they shouldnt have them flying in the first place and making it a miserable flight for the rest of the plane...it's common courtesy

Should the kid have been flying if there was a potential for her to be in pain from an ear infection?

If the kid isn't in the seat they can't take off,I didn't catch if there was a true timeline to how long they waited to allow the parents to gain control of the situation. A bad day for all.

All children should be sedated before flight, movie and restaurant outings. :woot:

First, I'm a parent. Sencond, I work as a photographer, so I deal with LOTS of 3-year-old kids. I can understand booting them off the flight, but allow them to take the next flight. Give them a chance to calm the kid down. Trying to force a screaming 3-year-old to do something that can be put off until they calm down, is kind of like trying to baptize a cat. Not only are you wasting your time, but your pissing off the cat!

You take pictures of a lot of 3 year old kids?

Rules are in place for a reason. There is no excuse to delay a flight and over 100 passengers due to an child that can't be controlled. They didn't follow the rules, so they were booted. That's why I sit in the smoking areas of restaurants. I'm not a smoker, but families tend not to sit in there and you don't have to endure screaming and uncooperative children. I'ld rather put up with smoke than a crying child for 3 hours. Imagine having to sit on a plane for 3 plus hours with a child that will not mind and parents that can't contol it. I fly Airtran all the time and they are a great airline and never had any problem with them. In addition they stay on schedule, which is very important for people that are expected to be at a certain place at a certain time. To be delayed by a uncontrolled child is unacceptable, I don't care about the age. You might say "she only 3, give it a break", at that age, it's the parents responsibility to control it, if they can't make them wait until they can.

I'm shocked so many on here feel the kid shouldn't have been booted. We're the first ones to complain when society kowtows to bratty kids, now all of a sudden we have sympathy?
