New PC content due out on September 13.
Publisher Humble Bundle and developer Gears for Breakfast have announced a Switch version of A Hat in Time, as well as Seal the Deal add-on for the PC version. A release date for the Switch version was not announced outside of coming soon.
The Seal the Deal add-on will launch for the PC version on September 13. It will be free for all Kickstarter backers, free for everyone for the first 24 hours of release, and thereafter cost $4.99.
It will include the following new content:
Additionally, a separate, completely free add-on that enables local split-screen co-op will also be released for the PC version on September 13.
- An all-new chapter set on the Arctic Cruise
- A new ridiculously difficult mode called Death Wish
- Six new Time Rifts
- Over a dozen flairs, dyes, costumes, badges and camera filters
Humble Bundle did not state whether the Seal the Deal or local co-op add-ons will be released for the console versions of A Hat in Time. (Update 2:05 p.m.: Gears for Breakfast said in the official A Hat in Time Discord server that the DLC will not be coming to consoles.)
A Hat in Time is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The “Seal the Deal” add-on released for the PC version of A Hat in Time in September 2018 will also be released for the upcoming Switch version, developer Gears for Breakfast announced.
The add-on has not been released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. According to the official A Hat in Time FAQ, “due to certain circumstances we aren’t able to use the same methods we used to bring the base game to Xbox One and PlayStation [in order to release the downloadable content for these versions], but we will continue to explore options.”
“Seal the Deal” adds a new chapter set on the Arctic Cruise, a new difficulty mode called “Death Wish,” six new Time Rifts, and over a dozen flairs, dyes, costumes, badges, and camera filters.
The Switch version of A Hat in Time has yet to be dated. The game is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Gears for Breakfast officially announced, back in January of this year, that they would finally be releasing their critically praised 3D platformer, A Hat in Time, on the Nintendo Switch, after having previously said that the game would simply not release on the portable system.
A Hat in Time for the Nintendo Switch is actually scheduled to release tomorrow, but we do have to remind players that it will only be available via the Nintendo Switch eShop; physical copies were pushed back and won't be releasing until the 8th of November, revealed Gears for Breakfast earlier this month.
Now that the game is only a day away from releasing on the Nintendo Switch, Gears for Breakfast has shared a brand-new, and charming trailer for A Hat in Time that gives us an idea of what the game will look like on Nintendo's popular handheld hybrid console.
It is also worth reminding that Gears for Breakfast also confirmed A Hat in Time for the Nintendo Switch will be getting the Nyakuza Metro DLC, although it will not feature Online party, but they still haven't revealed exactly when that will be.

In A Hat in Time you play as a tiny space-travelling girl with a big tophat. Her adventure is halted when all her fuel, the Time Pieces, is lost and scattered across a nearby planet. Hat Kid must now jump, fight and stitch new hats to make her way into every nook and cranny of this new world in order to restore her fuel and resume her journey. On her way, she'll bump into the menacing Mafia of Cooks, the goofy birds of Dead Bird Studio, the spooky shadows of Subcon Forest, and more!
A Hat in Time will be releasing for the Nintendo Switch on the 18th of October.
