See Batman And Other Art From The Cancelled Justice League Game. April 30, 2014 . 1:01pm

Director Zack Snyder is going to direct a Justice League movie, but at one point, George Miller was doing the same, and Double Helix were working on a tie-in game.

Man of Steel director Zack Snyder is set to create a Justice League movie after he’s done with his upcoming “Superman vs. Batman” film, but this isn’t the first time someone has a Justice League film in recent years.

A few years ago, George Miller, the director behind Mad Max, was set to work on a Justice League film, but the movie was eventually cancelled. At the time, Double Helix—who have made quite the name for themselves by resurrecting Strider for Capcom and Killer Instinct for Microsoft—were contracted to work on a Justice League game that would tie in with the movie.

Unfortunately, development of both the film and the game was scrapped and Double Helix were asked to work on the Green Lantern movie game instead. Environment art from the game popped up for a brief time, showing off locales such as Metropolis and Gotham, but we never really got to see any of the character design—until now.

Artist Darran Douglas’ online portfolio indicates that he was involved with Double Helix’s Justice League game and designed characters for it. Below, you can see a 3D render of his Batman character model, along with illustrations for Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Star Sapphire, Mr. Freeze, Trickster and Captain Cold.

Douglas’ portfolio also indicates that he was involved with Crysis. His list of illustrations include the image below, with the following note: “Top left being the finnished design for the Nano suit used in the game Crysis. The rest of the illustrations show progression work for the design.”

Wow, star sapphire looks crazy bad but the rest doesn't look too bad.

Give it another go I think. They tried to make a justice league game a couple of years ago but it came out the same time as marvel ultimate alliance and it sort of got drowned out

"Justice League: Heroes"? I played it on PS2. It was... decent. Nothing to write home about.

Well justice heroes didn't do well cause XMen Legends and ultimate alliance just had better game play over all and too many people wrote it off as knock off of those ones marvel made . It didn't have much of a chance really.
