Rumour: Screens From Unannounced Justice League Video Game

By Michael McWhertor on March 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM

Is DC Comics’ Justice League getting a video game adaptation to go along with the George Miller directed, big budget feature film?

While the big screen version of Justice League may be experiencing a bumpy ride in its trip to theatres, it appears, based on a batch of screen shots sent our way by an anonymous tipster, that the video game is already in production. While the majority of the shots feature game environments, logos for characters like Batman and Wonder Woman can be seen in some. The Flash and what appears to be Wonder Woman appear in others.

well that is interesting. Since we know that film was long since scraped. Maybe if this game happens it will be altered to be just some random game like justice league heroes was.

I thought Justice League Heroes was awesome. I honestly preffered it to XL2 and MUA 1. I'd say MUA2 and XL1 edge it out though. I'm aware that the majority considers XL2 and MUA 1 to be the superior games, however, for various reasons I'm not going to bother to list, as I'm lazy, I disagree.

I'd love another Justice League game.

"Bumpy ride"? A tad understated from the article, no? That project is (thankfully) dead. :funny:

I think this is a sequel to justice league heroes. Hopefully it goes through. The first one was decent but missed certain things that could be improved on. I hated you couldnt change characters throughout the game but instead were stuck with the respective characters for that level

I really liked playing JLH in co-op with my brother. I hope they're making another one.

For some reason I have a feeling that Snowblind's unannounced project is a Marvel Ultimate Alliance type of game with DC characters instead.

The rumor is that Snowblind is working on a LotR game.

The pics were from an ex-Shiny Entertainment (now part of Double Helix) artist's online portfolio. They're the ones rumored (or maybe it's confirmed, I don't remember) to be working on a Green Lantern game.

A Lord of the Rings RTS game is so been there, done that.

I really liked the justice league game and thought it was a good basis for a franchise.

I wouldn't mind if this turns out to be a MUA style DC (aka the whole JL) game. I would get the old game, but I heard you rarely get to pick who's on your team.

Yeah, you don't pick until the last 40% of the game really. I thought that was weak, I could understand the first 3-4 levels to "make" everyone try all the characters, but beyond that, it's not like certain characters were needed for storyline or level-design reasons. JLH was decent, and I honestly can see why they limited it to two characters. We were so powerful that there wasn't really anything beyond insane amounts of hit points on bosses that could stop us. I routinely made a Green Lantern bubble that filled the entire screen. Flash could clear the room with a button press. It was insane at later levels, once the characters had been leveled up.

You could blame WB for that. Snowblind was rushed to get the game out.

Flash had that tornado special which was amazing, you're right though GL1 once you were leveled up there wasn't much to do after. I just thought they did the powers really well and you actually felt like you were a superhero. I especially enjoyed using Green Arrow with the explosive arrows.

I hope there's another Justice League game. I still play it once in a while.

I don't know how many times I've beaten it. :hehe:

As long as it copies MUA, then I'm sold. I love the MUA game formula.

I'm kinda partial to the two-hero mode, just as a change of pace from XML/MUA. However, if it follows the same progression as that franchise, I'm all :awesome:. Just get another game out.

I wouldn't mind there being two stories, one way you play as heroes, the other as villains. Or maybe there can just be Villain DLC.

I don't know if it needs to copy MUA. I enjoyed JLH a lot more than I did MUA. It helped that the characters felt unique and were actualy powerful. It was also great that they started with all powers and you had different ways to improve them.

I just hope the next game improves the rogues gallery and maybe like XML, gives us HQs to walk around in. I'd definitely love to explore the Justice League Tower, just like the Mansion in the first XML. Also, maybe improve the action aspect a bit more.
