A time travel thought experiment on how far we have come...

It's easy to lose sight on the embarrassment of riches we have now and I was just thinking about the potential Cap vs BvS face-off.

Imagine going back in time 10 years or more. You meet your younger self and tell him/her that one day soon a Captain America movie would be more anticipated than Spider-Man, an X-Men Apocalypse movie, or a Batman vs. Superman movie.

How would your younger self react?

Bastard would probably rob me.

@PunyGod :lmao:

I'd have probably asked if Joel Schumacher would've been involved with Batman v. Superman, and if so, I would've made it my personal quest to prevent that from ever happening.

I would've let it slip to myself that Ben Affleck was going to be Batman and I would've cried myself to sleep at night every night until that fateful announcement reared it's ugly head.

I'm not really surprised. I actually just can't believe its taken so long. BvS shouldve happened 40 years ago. Reading CW I knew there would be a movie one day that was written so movie like. Same with the ultimates 1 & 2. Kevin Feige just had the only sense in Hollywood I guess.

Was there an official poll?

I think it's safe to say Cap 3: CW is more anticipated than the next Spider-man or X-men movie.
I doubt it's more anticipated than BvS, but the fact that it's even a conversation and that a Captain America movie is on par with Batman and Superman's first on-screen pairing is certainly worth noting.
