Are people really mad over this? It looks exactly the same as everything he's done for the past ten years.

The stuff Sandler used to do was actually funny, though. Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, Little Nicky, Eight Crazy Nights, Anger Management, The Waterboy, Billy Madison, etc.

I miss the Sandler of old.

Yeah I'm disappointed. He was great in Punch-Drunk Love, and that movie's great, and must have been offered serious roles after that film. But it doesn't make as much money as his other movies.

Anyway, here's what the late Ebert thought about Punch-Love Drunk:
"It may be the key to all of the Adam Sandler films, and may liberate Sandler for a new direction in his work. He can't go on making those moronic comedies forever, can he? Who would have guessed he had such uncharted depths?"

Yeah, I'm a big Sandler fan but even I can't justify Jack and Jill. Wonder if anybody could convince him to do Happy Gilmore 2.
