Eh, I'm really tired and after much google searching and trying out many drivers and all kinds of other bulls**t I'm sick of reading stuff I can't understand. So I'm hoping some other technical savvy person can help me out.

Basically I'm trying to play Max Payne 2 on my computer with a Radeon X550, using an Intel 82945G Express Chipset Driver. When I first started up the game I disregarded a little pop up that said something about AGP texture acceleration being disabled by quickly OKing it, then adjusted the graphics options and started it up.

My problem is the top left of the screen seems to flicker. It shows the area of the desktop where the rectangle hole appears then goes back to normal every few seconds. Really annoying. I figure it has something to do with AGP texture acceleration, so I ran the DirectX diagnostic tool to enable it and the option is grayed out, telling me it's unavailable.

So does anyone know of a simple way to make it available or is my problem something else? I googled to see if my graphics card supported it but came up with nothing, and I don't feel like talking to any tech support line person, but I might have to eventually. Thanks in advance.

Maybe uninstall it and then reinstall it?

Wait, what drivers are you using for the video card?

I dooon't know, I just downloaded and installed blindly a bunch of catalysts or something because I'm tired and wreckless. I think I f**ked up by downloading the Intel driver when it said not for use with third party cards. :o I know a little bit about computers but when it comes to drivers and all that I'm lost.

I guess I'll give that a try, start out clean.

Install motherboard drivers before you install the ATI drivers, otherwise sometimes AGP will end up being b0rked.
