Amadeus Cho: Prince of Power.

My internet security labelled that site as "unsafe".

That's weird my Web of Trust for Google Chrome didn't go insane at all.

Yeah well, Chrome also creates a file called "passwords.txt" and lists them like this

forums.superherohype.com
username: souless
password: yourpasswordhere

Unhashed, unedited, just for all to see should they want to look at that document.

Great browser other than that and a few small other things though.

"Malicious JavaScript Encoder", according to Norton.

Cho's venturing out on his own it would seem during the Heroic Age.

Should be interesting, I like Amadeus alot. Hopefully he can sell well by himself without Hercules supporting him.

This makes sense in terms of the story line that Pak and Van Lente are writing for INCREDIBLE HERCULES, but sales wise it'll be a disaster. Issues of INCREDIBLE HERC that had Cho's solo story when the duo split up always bled more readers than the Herc issues did; thousands of readers who never returned. The first issue will be lucky to sell over 35k in the Top 50 and then after that it'll be below 21k by about the 5th or 6th issue. Especially if they do what they usually do and make the debut issue as expensive as possible. You'll notice than when DC's Vertigo wants people to try their books, they make them $1, or $1.99. Even Robert Kirkman, in the letters pages of HAUNT #5, chastised Marvel & DC for making their comics more expensive and it "not being the right time" for that.

It is annoying, though, that these announcements have all but killed a lot of the drama of this last Herc arc, since we now know he actually will die, but at the very least it isn't quite as telegraphed as REBORN's debacle.

Who wouldn't watch Lethal Weapon 5: Roger Murtaugh's Big Adventure?!

X-Files: We Replaced Mulder With The T-1000 edi OH WAIT

Anyway, whether the book sells or not, I am hugely excited. Thor's involved, so that's an automatic plus in my book, and the whole concept is very intriguing. Love the new title--it's about time Herc stopped mooching off of The Incredible Hulk. I like Cho's new duds, too. He reminds me of a younger, not-evil Riddler, which kind of suits him. Reilly Brown coming back is awesome. Cho wielding the adamantine mace (although I've never known it to shoot lightning or whatever that stuff is before) is awesome. Cho developing a possibly adversarial relationship with Thor the way he did with Herc is awesome. Very, very excited for this.

Of course, that probably means it'll be canceled within 5 issues. :awesome:

Uhhh....Riddler's not evil anymore Corp. :o

You must have missed the last few issues of Streets or Tec or Batman or B&R or Siren where he essentially was caught in an explosion and now he's back to being the evil eddie.

It's ok though, we wont hold it against you.

Probably Sirens. That's pretty stupid. An explosion makes him evil again? He was never really all that "good" to begin with; he still cut corners and had shady dealings even as a supposedly upstanding private detective. Just progress that to its natural conclusion rather than rattling his brain until he's magically evil again.

Uhhh...the last issue of Sirens I got he didn't seem particularly evil. And I read Batman and Robin and he isn't even feature there yet. So there's been no EXPLOSION. In fact the last time I read him was a conversation between he and I think Catwoman in Sirens where he talked about how Ivy had enslaved him and penched off his apartment. It even went into great details at his efforts to be reformed and how Ivy was trying to do the same.

Well, at least the explosion = evil thing apparently didn't happen.

But he's still totally evil. :o

Heh. I have no doubt someone will come around and he, Ivy, and Harley will fall into their old ways, but it's a intriguing take on the character they've got going on right now.

Glad there's a concerted effort to remind readers that Cho is Korean-American, and I'm even more glad that it's behind-the-scenes rather than overtly in the comic pages. There aren't a lot of Asian-American heroes and, as with any good role model in comics, he's just a good character in his own right without resorting to tokenism.

Kind of sucks that Asian-Americans only get a week, though. Were there not enough months to go around? :csad:

I've just read the first Prince of Power after completely missing out iHerc. I was pleasantly surprised. And Cho is actually quite likeable compared to the last time I read anything with him in it.
