AMC introduces on demand film service

Those purchase prices sound rather steep to me. Unless it leans much more heavily to the $10 side of things, that makes it not that much cheaper to buy digital than to buy an actual DVD.
 
Yeah I'm not seeing the value but maybe this is a segue into something else. I've never been one to rent movies, and if I want a digital copy I can buy it directly from the company so I'm not seeing why this would be a benefit for me. However it's a part of A List so I guess its added value
 
I suppose in theory it could become the "big studio approved alternative" to Netflix, but only if they actually put their stuff up for subscription, not for individual rental. Which I doubt.

Those prices are standard across all digital services. Like with video games, digital copies cost about the same as physical home media.

Personally I'm fine with physical and digital costs being equal because digital versions of films dont take up space and they are much more convenient.
