"I want to enjoy a little bit of life," Topous told state lottery officials. "We're plain folks. We've struggled all our lives."

According to the Corrections Department's offender profile, Topous pleaded guilty to breaking and entering charges in 1984 and 1988 and to assault with intent to commit sexual penetration in 1999. In the latter case, Topous was charged with having sex with a 13-year-old girl, USA Today reported.

I hope some of his old jail mates start looking him up, asking for "loans".

jag

My thread title has a nasty typo, fix it JAG!

It's ironic that he can now afford for someone to pick the soap up for him.

Now the question is what will he do with this money......

Have sex with 13 year old.

Win lottery.

Seems simple enough.

Why does he feel entitled to enjoy the lottery money, when he is only entitled to spend his days behind bars?

I remember a serial rapist won the lottery here in England. His victims were allowed to claim compensation out of his winnings, if I remember rightly, which I may not.

What does what they did have to do with the one-in-a-zillion-chance of winning that he hit on? Lots of people win the lottery who don't need the money or don't deserve it. Why does this guy get singled out?

I hope he has truly reformed himself. Other than that, it's his money, he can do whatever he wants with it.

I seriously think they ought to ammend the rules of the lottery so that people with serious criminal records can't win large amounts.

all this time me and figs have been playing the lotto and not winning a dime... maybe a criminal record will help.

I like his friend's quote of how he's had some tough breaks, what, getting caught breaking the law? That's always the risk you run.

The fact that he slept with a 13 year old girl?

And lets put it this way, no one deserves to win the lottery, fact.

Indeed...

Am I the only one who notices the mispelling of the word "win" in the title?

Yeah, I really don't know what the **** happened there.
