As we all know, at the end of the Lester version of SUperman II, Superman uses an invented power, the 'Amnesia Kiss' to purge Lois of her memories of their time together and his ID of Clark Kent.
I was thinking today, that maybe they were really going for the established Silver Age power of Super-Hypnotism and just didn't pull it off so well. What do you think?
There's even an issue of SUperman from the seventies that states he ueses a mass hypnosis on everyone so that Clark looks more different than just SUperman in glasses with a comb over. SO it wouldn't have been out of place in the comics of the time.
Would thinking about it like this be better than thinking about it as an 'amnesia kiss?'
Is it any less stupid?
Personally, it sits better with me if I imagine that's what is going on. What about the rest of you?
