Rather stupidly, I have a question as I can't remember ...

I own all of the separate issues and am going to purchase MAN OF STEEL Volumes 2 through 6 for my nephew... Now my issues are in the attic and have not been touched for a couple years. While I know these issues are great, I'm wondering, are the issues included in these volumes sequential? That is to say, DO THEY HAVE A LINEAR STORY and can these trades be read back to back? I want to make sure my nephew understands them and reads them in order... Stupidly, I forgot!

Here is the order:

VOLUME 2:

Superman #1
Action Comics #584
Superman #2
Adv. of Superman #424
Adv. of Superman #425
Action Comics #585
Superman #3
Adv. of Superman #426
Action Comics #586

VOLUME 3:

Superman #4
Adv. of Superman #427
Adv. of Superman #428
Action Comics #587
Superman #5
Superman #6
Adv. of Superman #429
Action Comics #588
Action Comics #589

VOLUME 4:

Superman #7
Adv. of Superman #430
Action Comics #590
Legion of Super-Heroes #37
Superman #8
Action Comics #591
Legion of Super-Heroes #38
Adv. of Superman #431

VOLUME 5:

Superman #9
Adv. of Superman #432
Action Comics #592
Action Comics #593
Superman #10
Adv. of Superman #433
Superman #11
Adv. of Superman #434
Adv. of Superman #435

VOLUME 6:

Action Comics Annual #1
Superman Annual #1
Adv. of Superman Annual #1
Action Comics #594
Booster Gold #23
Superman #12
Action Comics #595

As a matter of fact I happen to have all those issues plus the TPB's hmm let's see here.

ACTION #586 and ADV. OF SUPERMAN #426 and SUPERMAN #3 (Legends crossover)

ACTION #591 crossover with SUPERMAN #8 and LEGION OF SUPERHEROES #37, #38.

ACTION #594 is a crossover with BOOSTER GOLD #23

aside from those issues the rest were pretty much self contained although Adv. Of Superman had Marv Wolfman and Jerry Ordway as the creative team.

I'm not sure whether DC planned on future volumes since there is still ACTION #596-600 and Superman #13-17, #19-22 of John Byrne's run missing.

thaNK you very much, MACE.... It's about time some knowledgeable person answers me!

No problem, the Superman boards will probably not see much activity since the focus will be on Thor, Captain America and Green Lantern.
